Great product, but the roller that comes with it isn't very good
Really Great product and an excellent way to spruce up your kitchen. It comes with a paintbrush, mixer, and roller. The roller is pretty naff, so buy your own. Otherwise fantastic product.

Omg, where do I start? I got quotes from several contractors for this job with costs ranging from $3,000 to $6000. Finally, I decided to do it myself, and it was the best decision I ever made. I will recommend buying a sander and sanding the cabinets first. It’s not required, but it will definitely help with the finish look with all the grooves after its painted. I took on this project because when I moved into this unit, the cabinets were damaged with stains and grease and I could not get it clean. I use multiple degreasers and I hired professional cleaners to come in and try to clean the cabinets. They have even steam the cabinets and nothing could get the grease in the stains off the cabinets. So finally, I decided to paint it. Gray was not my first choice however, I could not find the navy blue I wanted, and so ultimately, we decided on a light gray, which I do not regret at all. Application was super easy. The two of us tackled this project in less than three hours. I will recommend 2 to 3 coats for better coverage. I also will recommend not putting a glob on at a time but instead apply thin layers, making sure that your brush strokes are uniform. The texture is perfect and the finish is also perfect not too shiny not to Matte. This is a perfect kit that provides you with all the tools you will need to get the job done. All you really need is tape and tarp so that you don’t get paint everywhere. I cracked my window and the paint dried super fast which made applying a second and third coat so easy and fast. And lastly, the amount of paint they provided in the full starter kit was more than enough. We only use one canister and that canister still has paint left in it. The other canister has not even been touched. So I will be keeping them for future touchups.

I used the Nuvo Driftwood Cabinet Makeover Kit on the cabinets in my 5th wheel about 3 years ago, and they still look just as good as the day I painted them. No peeling, no chipping, no fading — the finish has held up perfectly through travel, temperature changes, and daily use. We did take the time to prep the cabinet surfaces thoroughly before painting, and I think that made all the difference. The kit was easy to use, the color is beautiful, and the coverage was excellent. If you’re willing to put in the prep work, this paint will give you a professional-looking finish that lasts.

I finally convinced my husband to remove the floor tiles from the wall of our kitchen installed by the previous residents only to realize the ugly older-than-us-combined cabinets would look even worse if we fix up everything else around them. I knew new cabinets would be wayyyyyyy out of the question but some Google searches later, this product popped up all over. Hours of YouTube videos later, finger strain from scrolling thru Pinterest and I knew I needed this. I tried to convince the hubs to do the lower cabinets in a different color to add some interest, but he agreed only if we only did one color. In the end, this absolutely stunning grey "driftwood" color has made the biggest difference in our kitchen touch up so far. It starts out white, which my husband was completely against, but dries to such a cool and appropriately named driftwood grey. Have you ever seen drift wood with that ashy looking grey color? That's what this is, exactly. We only did two coats because we loved the way the wood grain showed through. My biggest tip is to make absolutely certain beyond a doubt that you've removed every single speck of grease. Our cabinets were CAKED and I mean completely CAKED with grease, a lot of which I removed by scraping off SHEETS of grease. Lots of scrubbing and sanding later, we painted. It dries amazingly, but found the next day that we'd missed some grease and there were some cracking spots. It's not enough for us to strip and redo because this is so much better than what we started with, but if you're detail oriented, scrub and sand until you don't have fingerprints anymore. Overall; buy this. Be realistic about your project and how much preparation you'll need. The prep is the most intense, tedious part, and also the most important. Take the extra time to be thorough and the rest will be a breeze.

Six month update - I am so glad I painted my cabinets. The paint has help up amazing. I’ve had to touch up high traffic areas (around two handles) maybe once or twice, but the chip was so small that I think I was the only one who noticed it. I have two kids under 3 that are always opening the lower cabinet doors and banging stuff into the doors - the paint has never chipped there and has held up so well. No regrets at all!!! I used this to repaint my cabinets (previously a bright green). I prepped by cleaning the cabinets with TSP and doing some light sanding. It took only two coats of paint. The paint went on smooth and was really easy to apply. There was no odor and I only used one can for my cabinets. I’ve had a few nicks in the paint since then but I’d rather see those small nicks versus all that green.

At first I didn’t know what to expect with this paint. The reviews are mixed so I was a little nervous. When I first opened the light grey, it looked grey-beige but when I began painting, it turned the color you see in my photo, needless to say, that is the exact color I wanted! This paint is thick and gives excellent coverage (not the white though). I was able to get through all of my bottom cabinets with 1 entire can of paint and multiple coats on each cabinet door and cabinet boxes. So far, I haven’t had any chipping but wouldn’t be surprised if it did chip. I painted over those hideous glossy, cheap, wood cabinets that builders use just to get cabinets in. I did sand a bit just to try and rough up the surfaces to avoid as much chipping as possible. Another cool thing about this paint is that it dries quickly!! That was a huge plus! The grey was easy to work with, the white was a PAIN. It required multiple coats, longer dry time, and brush strokes can be seen. You definitely have to be more patient with the white paint. It also went a long way though and I was able to get through all of my cabinets with one can then opened the second towards for very end for touch up purposes. I recommend this paint as a temporary facelift to your cabinets.
