A must have for compression socks
Found this after damaging a regular reach tool I tried to use to remove a compression sock. It’s a must have for compression socks but very helpful for removing any sock especially when you have post-surgery bending restrictions.

It Does the Job your hands alone really can't
This clever tool has one purpose in life - helping you to remove your compression sox. It's simple (no moving parts), sturdy (as far as I can see, so far) and a godsend to a seventy-seven year old man with an arthritic shoulder, and impediments to bending over - like tight hamstrings. I give it four stars because it doesn't run on magic and thus does not operate as smoothly as the instructions would suggest. You will come up with your own variations on the process and which chair(s) would be best for the process and all will be well.

It Works More Or Less As Advertised
It works just not as shown in the video. However, I will buy it again becasue I expect the end to break off from the flexing required to slip the stocking over my heel. It is the best removal device I have found to date.

Seems to work well
I use 15-20 compression socks, and have to be able to put them on and take them off by myself. I have the wire gadget to put them on, which works great, and I previously ordered a different long shoe horn with a metal "horn" part, and both times when I tried to use it, it made a hole in my socks, which are expensive. I got the new one yesterday, which I am now reviewing. It seems very sturdy and well made, and I think I will be very satisfied with it. It did not make a hole in my socks because of the width and thickness of the shoe horn part.

Too short
It works OK, but it is shorter than what it appears in the pictures

Works better that anything else I have found
It's almost impossible for this fat old guy to get off my compression socks by myself. This is the only thing I have found that really works and is not a chore to use. I struggled with it at first, but the more I use it the easier it becomes. The only negative is that it doesn't seem very sturdy. It is already bent at the middle some. I expect at some point it will bend to the point it cannot be used or break - after which I will probably buy another one. Love to see this made out of sturdy metal.

Barely helped
Caveat emptor: first of all this device has a sticker on one side that says slide this side against leg peel off before use. You can see the sticker in my attached photographs, and the fact in a couple of the photographs where I tried on two different corners to peel off the sticker and it does not come up easily, which tells me it's going to leave behind sticky nasty residue. So that bites. Shame on the manufacturer. I had hip replacement surgery and have to wear Ted hose for 30 days. But I'm not allowed to bend forward, so getting them off has been a real pain. I purchased this because I was told it would help. It helped me get the sock down to my ankle, and that was it. I live alone. I was afraid I was going to have to call 911, LITERALLY, to get the sock off of my ankle. I was finally able to get the sock off with the addition of a long handled shoehorn down inside the sock on the other side of my leg. It was painful. And I'm not sure if it was worth the approximately $20 before tax that I paid for this device. So buyer beware. This is not the magic wand that you are hoping for.
