Original Intensive Face & Body Moisturiser

This cream is a very thick moisturizer but excellent for extra dry skin for the entire body, including face if extremely dry/restoring moisture barrier. It’s great at night for that very reason. While it does have a powdery fresh scent, it’s reminiscent of a grandma, which took a minute to get used to but now I love it. Also use in the morning under spf knowing my skin is hydrated. This was also a big tub which is good value for money. Wish they sold this in the states. Will purchase again!

After reading several reviews online about this cream, I had to have a pot of this to try out. I have dry skin and thought this would fit the bill. I like the ingredients list as it has good humectants (draws water to your skin) and occlusives (forms a protective barrier to prevent moisture loss). I finally have a pot of this and have been using it in the dead of winter with forced air heating, which dries the dickens out of my skin. It moisturizes very well and does not leave my skin greasy. If it does leave your skin greasy, you are using too much. It has a soft soapy flowery smell, so if scent bothers you skip this brand. I usually prefer unscented creams on my face, but I have not noticed any sensitivity to the fragrance in this product on my face. The ingredients are similar to Nivea in the blue tin but it is not as thick, or waxy as that. I find this glides on better and doesn't make your face feel like it is coated in a waxy residue, of which Nivea does on my face (still love it on my hands and feet though!). This is an excellent all purpose moisturizer. I am fairly certain that if they started selling it over on this side of the pond, here in the USA, in brick and mortar stores, that it would fly off the shelves once people discover this gem. The giant 500 ml tub should last a person a very long time, if they are only using on their face. The other thing about this that I am not super crazy about is that it comes in a tub, of which dipping your fingers into the cream can introduce bacteria. Again, I am willing to overlook this because I am using a spatula to get product out of the jar and keep the cream clean and free from bacteria on my hands, due to the fact that this is an inexpensive cream and it is a minor issue. Overall from a cosmetic formulary point of view, this is an excellent moisturizing cream. It does not make any promises beyond moisturizing your skin, and keeping it hydrated. I have found this works better than many of the so called "revolutionary" type creams that promise you all sorts of things and end up being just another industry lie, sold in posh department stores, to get your cash. When you look at the ingredients in those, they are no better than what is in this pot of cream. As long as they continue to make this and I can mail order it here in the USA, I will keep a pot of this around. I can see why this product has remained in business over many years and why it is still on the shelves. It is effective, hydrates, leaves the skin dewy and not greasy (if used correctly) and you only need to apply once or twice in a 24 hour period. Considering the fact that you only need the size of a small pea, to cover your entire face and neck, this is a real bang for the buck.

This is a thick very moisturizing cream. It has a light scent that is nice. Great for dry winter skin and for the price, the container is very big.

I recently found information about this cream in an online article and decided I had to try it. What a wonderfully large jar for such a great price! The best part is that Astral is a wonderful moisturizer, nothing else I've tried can beat it. I'll definitely be a return customer. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because, due to it's rich thickness, it takes a lot of cream to spread over the body. I may try the lighter version next time (or not!).

You don't understand. This lotion is the bomb. I can't live without it man. Before it was available in Amazon, I used to hunt people who are going to England down to get some for me. I always store a ton of them. Recently, we had a burglary and they stole all my electronics, laptops, iPad, wife's jewelry and much more. It was all fine, until I discovered they stole my Astral stash, I went crazy man. Who steals lotion? I still curse them to this day. The way I stored them must have made them look really expensive and attractive. I hate those punks. I had to go for a month without Astral. Why do I like Astral? Because it is perfect. First of all, i have dry skin and Astral moistruries the skin perfectly without overwhelming it by making you feel it's there. The smell is very settle and nice. Dude, I am a black male, I don't want everyone to know that I use lotion. Astral is perfect for that. It does the job and protects my manhood :)

I have been using astral for many years. I was getting it from England first and then I switched to Amazon. It's very good for people with dry skin. Astral us the only moisturizer that's very effective and you can use on your entire body.

I just love it even the sent is beautiful. A little bit goes a long way. Will buy it again.
