Butterfly Folding Fans (1 dz)

I purchased these as a handout for a group of 12-14 girls, and after reading the reviews decided I'd better order two dozen to cover casualties from them sticking together. Good thing I did, because even though I opened them all oh-soooo-carefully to keep them from breaking, 10 out of the 24 died. They are beautiful, I know the girls will like them, but the paper just came unglued from the flimsy plastic frame. A couple of the frames were already broken when they arrived, but I had to make those work in order to have enough. The little plastic disc that holds the fan together also just came apart on some of them (unrepairable) and the paper ripped on a couple of them, (which I expected), but I didn't expect them to just fall apart. I might be able to hot glue gun a couple of them, but why should I have to? Now I won't have any extras to replace ones that might be broken when the girls open them. The major problem would be solved if they just used a stronger glue! I imagine they'd be selling them right and left if they spent a couple of cents more to keep them together. They won't ever last to be used again, that's for sure. I loved the appearance, and think it's a shame that the girls won't be able to actually use them.

I got these for a trip in Florida in the summer. They came in an amazon box, then the box the actual fans were in was paper thin and barely held together. After reading the reviews I made a point to carefully open each one. None of mine came ripped, and it seems if you do not open them with caution they will indeed come apart. These are cheap with plastic handles BUT ONLY cost $0.41 each. What more can you expect? I have a 10 day trip and have 12 fans. If they make it through the 10 days I will be content. These are not life long fans that you will keep forever.

I ordered these fans to use as party favors for my daughter's upcoming birthday party. They are very cheap (1 of them was broken when I took it out of the box) but super cute and I think the girls are really going to like them. Be very careful when opening the fans for the first time, the paper on some of them was stuck together and if you open them too fast the paper may rip. But all in all if you want a cheap party favor for a party I would definitely recommend these.

Beautiful - big hit in the goody bags for my sons birthday. Though I will remind you that you get what you pay for, my expectations for the item were met. I was grateful for other reviewers who said the fans ripped the first time they were opened. After reading this, I opened each fan myself when they arrived so I could be sure they were opened carefully the first time. Only 1 fan ended up ripping and the tear was tiny! After that first time, they open up with no problem.

Of the 17 dozen I purchased - about a dozen were torn or broken. The rest were beautiful! I bought them for an event at my church and the women loved them - they do actually fan. They were all very bright and pretty! The downside: The handles are a little short plus they are made of plastic. Not a big deal, but good to know before purchasing. I would not receommend these for little children because they are very delicate and tear easily.

You get what you pay for. These are cheap and so I didn't expect great quality. Some did come apart upon opening them. Open them all carefully before you give them to the kids to have a better chance of them not getting ripped or pulled apart the first time.

These fans were a lot of fun for my young granddaughters. They were very inexpensive. They are, however, very fragile. At the price, I did not expect them to be wonderful -- but they were pretty and the girls had fun with them while they lasted.

Hot flashes are a PAIN! And these did the trick! I purchased a bunch of these and handed some out to friends, some to my children, and used the others myself for hot flashes. They fold compactly and fit in my desk drawer, drawers in the bathroom, in my laptop desk compartment, purse, just about everywhere. The unfold and are beautiful, then refold right back into their plastic casing and close. I recommend these highly to anyone wanting to use them at a summer event or any woman with hot flashes! haha
