She enjoys books that have cats and dogs in them, this book has both in it briefly just enough to get her interested in the book. The illustrations are cute as well Review: Simple, Clear Potty Training Book Toddlers Understand - This book has been a really helpful tool during potty training. The story is very simple and direct, which actually works well for toddlers who are just starting to learn about using the potty. The illustrations are clear and easy to follow, and the step-by-step approach helps kids understand what happens when it’s time to go. One thing I like about this book is that it doesn’t overcomplicate the message. It shows the routine in a straightforward way, which makes it easy for young children to grasp. After reading it a few times, my child started repeating parts of the routine, which helped reinforce the idea of using the toilet. The pages are sturdy enough for toddlers who like to flip through books themselves, and the length is perfect for quick reads before bathroom time or bedtime. One small downside is that the book is very simple, so older toddlers might outgrow it fairly quickly. Also, the straightforward approach means it doesn’t have as much humor or storytelling as some other potty books. Pros include clear and easy-to-understand potty training steps, toddler-friendly illustrations, and a short length that keeps kids engaged. A minor con is that it’s quite basic and may not hold the attention of older children. Overall, it’s a solid potty training book that introduces the concept in a simple, approachable way for younger toddlers.

Simple. And the best!
Favorite potty book so far! We read it a few times a day and I ask questions like, "should she go in the potty?" and now she answers, "yes!" Its nice that its not a wordy book but gets all the major points across, it allows me to guide it a bit. The pages are different colors so its more fun than some other potty books. Also its nice the character doesnt look specifically like a boy or girl, so my daughter associates the little kid with herself.

Very Simple Book About Potty Training and is Probably Best For Younger Children
We purchased this book a year ago when our twins were just starting to show some interest in the potty. I wanted to get a few books that would be fun tools to help teach them how to use the potty and this book seemed very popular with good reviews, so we ordered it along with a few others. Potty is a short story with few words about a young toddler who wonders if he or she should go to the potty in a diaper or in the potty. The tiny human thinks about how cats and dogs go to the bathroom and if using the potty is the right thing to do. The pictures are pretty cute and my twins, who are now three-and-a-half, still enjoy looking at the pictures. This book measures 7 inches by 7 inches, has 28 pages and is a board book with thick pages so it's very durable in case your kids are still in the very destructive stage! The little person is also gender neutral so this book would be good for boys or girls. This book is very cute but, if you decide to purchase it, you will probably need to do a lot of explaining as to what is going on in each picture. That doesn't bother me too much but some people may prefer books that have more words and tell a story. We also have Potty Book for Girls, The and The Potty Book: For Boys (I have boy/girl twins) and those have more of a story so if you prefer a potty book that has more words, I'd recommend either or both of those. This book would probably be more appropriate for children in the one to two year age group but older children might not find it interesting. My kids still like to look at the pictures but we don't use it much anymore although we read it a lot when we got it last year. I gave this book four stars because my kids really liked it, even if I am not too thrilled with it. It's still so reasonably priced that I don't regret buying it since my kids liked it and it helped them learn to use the potty!

Very cute and sparks interest in going potty
Overall: Very cute, very simple, and it worked to get our daughter interested in using the potty. It's obviously not going to get your child to use the potty overnight, but it might spark the interest that helps. Pros: Very simple drawings, not a whole lot going on in the pages except the main character needing to go potty. It's not clear if it's a boy or girl, so it can be used for either gender. There are very few words, so children won't lose interest as you read. There are some catchy parts, like "tinkle, tinkle, toot!" that my daughter says a lot when she goes to the potty. It even adds a dog and a cat going potty, so if you have pets, your child will likely enjoy it more. Cons: This isn't an instructional book, so it won't teach your child anything in terms of what to do. It's too simple at times, so you have to add your own words. For instance, there's a series of pages where the main character just sits and waits on the potty, so I have to explain that sometimes you just need to wait to go and not rush it. Overall, this is a book my daughter enjoys reading, memorized most of it after a few reads, and makes going to the potty more fun for her. Definitely recommend as a book to have with your other books.

Adorable and actually helpful with potty training!
This has helped my son with potty training more than I thought it would. Whenever he does his business on the potty, he now says “hoorayyy! Undieees!” Like in the book. Adorable and fun pictures

Simple, fun, and effective book!
This book has been such a big help with potty training. My toddler loves the bright pages and cute character, and now says “Hooray! I did it!” just like in the book. Simple, fun, and effective - we read it every day!

Not to many words but very expressive and understandable for my boy. He reads over and over this book while sitting on the potty 😊

Great book! The illustrations are fabulous. The big expressions are great and really get kids attention wanting to copy the expression. It's a good book to help introduce the potty. I learned about this book through the Toddlers Made Easy podcast by Dr. Cathryn on Spotify. The only thing I wish this book had would be a few more descriptive words such as "kitty poops in the litter box" or "doggy pees on the tree" or "big yawn" vs "oh". However, this book is still great for helping to break the ice around potty training.
