The Decade That Rocked: The Photography Of Mark Weissguy Weiss (Heavy Metal, Rock, Photography, Biography, Gifts For Heavy Metal Fans) Review: Huge Book Quality Pics - I was really surprised at the quality and size of the book when it arrived, I somehow missed the dimensions when I ordered anyways as someone who group in the 70's & 80's collecting all the rock mags remember kids there was no internet, and now collecting the books by these great photographers like Mark, Neil Zlozower, Ross Halfin its not only a great documentation of the musicians but for us as fans who went to the shows and bought the records, Well done Mark ! Review: Really interesting, great photos! - I know the Author from junior H.S., and saw the book advertised on Facebook. I started reading it and he tells of his journey how he became this photographer for all of these cool bands. The photos are done really well. The stories are great! So glad I have this book.

If you were lucky enough to live in the 80s, get this book. If not, get it and see what you missed!
For starters, this is not a book. It's a hard rock Bible. Hard to believe it only cost 45 bucks for something that I could use as a free weight in a gym. It should easily be double if not triple the cost. I am not sure how this was accomplished, but thanks anyway! The tome is chock full of incredible (mostly color) photos that show our beloved artists in various lights. We did not have the web back then, all we saw were album covers, mag photos and concerts. This book adds a lot of flavor to the artists I adored, and still do. Weiss has to be the luckiest fan that ever walked the earth for him to be in a position to take these photos. And he got paid to do it!!!! I am very grateful for this book, and immediately bought another to send to my brother. Very impressive in scale and story lines also. Brings back tons of fond memories and reminiscing on that time and scene. I truly feel sorry for anyone who missed the 80s! Music and concerts have never been the same since then.

80s rocked!
80s were so amazing from music perspective. This book is well organized and has so many great pictures. Enjoyed each and every page of it. The only significant weakness of this book - heavily focused on US rock stage, European one is almost untouched. However, you'll definitely enjoy Ozzy pics :)

WOW!
It’s insane, it’s heavy, it’s awesome, it’s amazing even the paper feels nice, the photos are classic, epic, artistic the collages are fun! The pictures that were on my walls, the festivals I listen to on the radio, the photo shoots from the magazines i used to buy two of them one for cutting up and sticking to the walls one to save. The amount of photos in this book is crazy!!!!! the backstage and behind the scenes shots most of us could only Imagine. The book Reminds me of many of great times. Makes me want to grab my camera and run out the door, thank you Mark weissguy Weiss for capturing a huge part of my life in a book that i will be able to go through for the rest of my life.

Brilliant!!!!!!!!You will Love This One.
Mark tells us how his love for photography was born and more precisely his love for photographing his idols, with whom he ended up being a friend, the photos are better than another ,Five stars, definitely, a book full of rare photos and bright, very well designed, the size is ideal to appreciate every detail that Mark achieved with his camera that is already part of his body and at times it seems that one was next to him looking at the live musician or in the studio, for everyone Those of us who love this golden age of rock cannot stop having it, and for those who love rock in general, thank you Mark for having edited this gem.-

AMAZING WELL PUT TOGETHER BOOK
For anyone who grew up in the late 70's-80's and was a rock fan... this book is a MUST HAVE. I remember thumbing through the pages of Hit Parader, Circus, Metal Edge, etc.....and this book brought back a lot of those great memories. This is not one of those books that sells you on a great cover...and then only a few good pics inside. No sir, this book is crammed full of fantastic large full color photos, plus some great information & commentary to go with it. I can't say enough how pleased I am with this purchase. Weiss was very respected, and still is among the rock world and this book is a fine retrospective of his career.... \m/
