Buy this and your tastebuds will love you
This is delicious, I am so glad I found it. Full of umami flavours, add noodles, chillies (fried with spring onions [aka scallions if in the US]), you can add some sort of meat. A delicious lunch. Great value for your money, super easy to use. Make sure you test the ratio of sauce to water (I like it powerful). Nom nom nom.

Five-Star Flavour, Zero-Star Packaging
Seems I'm in the same boat as other reviewers; my bottle also arrived properly bonked and denecked. I wasn't too fussed about it at first, but when I broke the seal, the pressure from the dent made a bit of it spray out, which was annoying. This is probably how the seller keeps the price so competitive at £8.75, even undercutting some specialist shops. As for the sauce itself, Kikkoman's quality speaks for itself, so let's talk quantity. Following the official instructions, this single 1-litre bottle makes 3 litres of dipping sauce or a whopping 5+ litres of soup broth. The value is ridiculous and it will lasts for a long time. The flavour is a perfect base for all sorts: a deep, smoky umami from the bonito flakes, balanced with a subtle sweet undertone. Despite the bottle's rough journey, the sauce is five-star stuff.

A matter of taste (I liike)
Large volume and good value. Instant noodle soup or dipping sauce (dilute accordingly). Not too salty and no unpleasant tastes. 3 Tbsp of this, pack of straight-to wok noodles and some chopped veg, and you have an instant meal. Cooked chicken and noodles, 3 Tbsp this and half a teaspoon of sugar and you have a very good imitation of a takeaway teriyaki.
