Sturdy and handsome
I bought this for my Russian SO, and they loved it. This cup is gorgeous, charming, and excellently made. We pour boiling coffee in there at the start of the day, followed up with ice-cold water, finishing the day with a nice bath in the dishwasher. It takes rough handling with grace. It might survive a nuclear blast. And it's pretty darn cute. By the way, it works great with a "podstakannik", the metal cup holders that you find on Russian trains and elsewhere.

Not vintage, but a good quality glass
It's not vintage or made in the USSR, but it's a good quality item and is original, made on the ОСЗ in Gus-Khrustalny, Russia.

Good glass for tea or whiskey
This is slightly expensive but it is a perfect size and heft for a tea glass or a nice whiskey glass. The important part for me for a tea cup is its clear so you can enjoy the color of the beverage, it feels good in the hand and isn't overly ornate. I don't have the metal base this goes to, never felt a need for it.

Perfect glasses for Podstakannik
These are the perfect size glasses for the two Podstakannik that I have and the price on these is excellent. It's a glass, and it's within a reasonable price. Shipped super fast as well.

Make sure it's the right size
Like the glass and fits the metal holder but it's a little big. As the glass is tilted when you put it inside the metal holder.

This is a good glass for tea

It fits perfectly into the Soviet-era pewter holder. My wife says it brings back childhood memories traveling by rail to Moscow and being served tea in this style glass.

This glass resembles the classic Soviet era glass (granyonyj stakan), but is significantly smaller. It is not suitable for those who are looking for a real replica of the old style Soviet glass of this kind.
