Old Fashioned Pot Pie Noodles Pack of 2, 16 Ounce Bags just perfect for any meal Review: Pasta squares - Great little pasta squares. Good quality Review: Worth every dime! Multiple meals per bag - Worth every dime, and one package equals many meals. I can't say enough good things about these noodles, I know they are more expensive than the pasta you find in the store but there are so many per package. You probably only use a quarter or a third of the package every time you make a soup or a meal. They hold up so well in the broth, even on the third or fourth reheat of the soup they are still firm and delicious.

Just wish they were cheaper but very pleased
Just made my first batch of Chicken noodle soup with these tonight. Used instant pot...5 minutes on high pressure. used 8oz of noodles for 8 cups of broth. Could have probably stuffed more noodles because there was plenty of broth. Very good and tasty

I've never heard of noodles in a pot pie
I haven't tried these in a pot pie yet. But I have cooked them into chicken noodle soup twice since discovering these here on Amazon. You see, I attempted to find the thick-cut soup noodles Costco used regularly stock in the fall & winter. They might be somewhere on Amazon, but I couldn't find them. However, these noodles popped up in the search, so I thought "let's give these a try!" The last two times cooking chicken noodle soup, I haven't used my traditional mirepoix (onion, carrots, celery, garlic) but have stuck with the fresh herbs & spices (parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, an ounce of ginger, and four shakes of chipotle pepper). Instead, it's the onions cooked to translucent, adding the garlic with a touch of butter and heating it to fragrance. Then, add boneless/skinless chicken thighs cut into bite-sized pieces along with the herbs & spices, and cook this mix until the chicken liquids are released and reduced by at least half. Along the way, add a splash of vermouth or white wine and a touch of brandy. At this time, if I have it, I’ll pour in two to three quarts of chicken bone stock. If not, I’ll use chicken bone broth from the box. Along with the broth, I’m now adding up to a quart of heavy cream as the broth warms up. Stirring a lot and checking for seasoning, bring everything to a low-slow boil and let cook for at least half an hour. It’s now time to add these noodles. They cook for about 20-30 minutes. But here’s a secret. Don’ just use these noodles. Go half and half with Bechtle’s Traditional German Cage Free Egg Pasta Thin Soup Noodles. If you do take my advice here, add the Bechtle’s at the 20-minute mark and finish the cook after 12 to 14 minutes more. I just got another four bags of these Amish Wedding Pot Pie Noodles. In the next couple weeks I’ll try these in a beef-based soup. Looking forward to enjoying these noodles for years to come.

PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH APPROVED
Growing up in Lancaster, PA, chicken pot pie was a frequent meal. If my mother didn’t make her own noodles by hand, she purchased Bot Boi from the grocery (when we could find them). These are so similar. A little smaller in size, but thickness and taste are right on.
