The best imitation pasta and rice product I have found for my keto diet.
We are on keto diet so dont eat pasta or rice. But sure miss it and need it sometimes for recipes we make. Cauliflower rice is a keto go-to but it still has the Cauliflower taste which sometimes changes the favor of the dish I am making. Liviva has it RIGHT. It is the closest I have found to with good flavor and texture. I have spent lots of money trying so many different brands with varying unsatisfactory results. This has been the best brand i have found and now can get it at a great price from Amazon.

Good for low carbs
The little bit of oat fiber in Liviva rice is a game changer, compared to other shirataki rice made purely of conjac. The oat fiber makes the product less slippery. Of course, nothing's the same as eating rice that absorbs sauce so nicely. This rice will not absorb sauces, but at least it's not slimy like pure conjac rice. It took me a few times to figure out how to get rid of the excess water in the rice. After draining it, the best method I found is to microwave the rice on a paper towel. Yes, Liviva rice is a few calories more than conjac rice, but oat fiber makes it more palatable. I would buy this again.

Great for diabetics!
A better substitute to rice than cauliflower rice (you can mix both shirataki and cauliflower). It’s allowed me to enjoy the Asian food I grew up with.

Smell so bad
i will never buy this again it smell so so bad if you vegan you not gonna like the smell of the product and it is too rubbery chewy texture that you needs to chew a lot each bite takes 5 minutes then still same size in your mouth. i just dump it into trash not worth the quantity and quality.

The rice is 'alright' but doesn't replace the real thing.
I boiled mine then cooked on a sauce pan for a while. It has no taste so it'll taste as good as whatever you mix it with. It feels like a hard jelly when chewing it. Not sure if I should cook it longer but at least it didn't taste the way it smelled out of the bag. Pretty ok replacement for rice on a keto diet.

No fishy smell... much better texture.
I recently learned that the fishy smell that accompanies most konjac products actually comes from the limewater that's used during processing to make the product hold their shape. Because this brand uses citric acid you don't have that nasty smell. The added oat fiber also gives the texture a bit more of a "bready" chew than the usual crispy/gummy texture of just the konjac. As someone that's tried a BUNCH of konjac noodles these are definitely the best I've had. Is it the same as rice/pasta... of course not... BUT... it's a substitute I'm happy to eat and I can feel good about eating this brand because it isn't full of frankenfoods like most others are. I guess it's just a bonus that this one happens to be the least expensive per ounce out of all the ones on Amazon. SCORE!

This is the best shirataki rice I have tried.
I have used it many times. Most recently for jambalaya. Last week I used it for Thai crab fried rice. It doesn’t have flavor of its own, but works well in low carb or keto recipes. I like the texture best when it is simmered in the sauce or dish you are making. The oat fiber seems to add a better texture than others I have tried.

Perfect Rice Substitute
Amazing texture and flavor! Just like rice! I hate cauliflower rice, so this was absolutely perfect. It won’t stick like short grain or sushi rice, but it’s a godsend for low-carb eating. Make sure that you follow the directions on the package for best results. Thank you Liviva!!

I have used the Liviva Rice for 3 years now, my family loves it every bit as much as real rice. No odor, but you still need to rinse and dry as best possible before making into Fried Rice (what we use it for). It really does not have a "taste", and takes on the taste of whatever you are making it with. I add soy and chicken base. The texture is a little "rubbery", but not bad at all when considering its zero carb. My reason for giving this listing a 1 star was because it is misleading. This ad says you get 6 packages for the price posted of $4.49 (which is close to what I paid for one package, but the ad did say it was a sale). They make you buy at least 2. Not a problem as I generally use 4pks for one batch of fried rice. In any event, I knew this was a great deal so I bought 4 orders (of 6 as the ad states, meaning I should of recieved 24 pkgs). I was charged $17.96, and then when the box arrived I got 4 single packages, not the 24 as posted in the ad. When I contacted customer service, they said sorry and did not send the remaining part of what I ordered, the ad was a "Mistake". Its a bait and switch and they lied, and here we are a month later, and they have not changed the ad/posting. It still says you can buy 6/$4.99, so they took the "sale" off of the 6/$4.49, and upped it up to 6/$4.99. It's a lie. Dont fall for it and find another seller, or go to low carb Canada or another retailer alltogether.

I would have given this product a 5 star review if the ad wasn't misleading. The title of the product clearly says "pack of 6" which is a lie. Each 400g bag has 2 packs of "rice". That being said, the product is good. I read all the comments saying the smell is terrible so I tried to not smell it too much. I rinsed it twice then added to my stirfry and there was no weird smell or taste. I will say the texture isn't like rice at all. It was more like the tiny noodle balls that you would have in Italian wedding soup. In comparison to rice, it is quite expensive. But if you're in a calorie deficit or have special dietary requirements preventing you from eating normal rice, this is definitely a good product to try. Overall, the taste is okay, texture is different but not bad, smell isn't an issue, and the price is worth it if you aren't able to eat normal rice. Just don't buy this product thinking it's a perfect dupe for normal rice. Also, it's ready to eat. No need to cook. Just rinse and warm.

There is definitely a scent when you initially open the package but there are ways to fix this. FIrst, place the shirataki in a colander and rinse it thoroughly in running cold water. Then, put it in a non stick pan and cook it for couple minutes until the moisture is gone. By this time, the scent should be gone. You can then either put it in a packaway container for future cooking use or make something right then and there. I usually order the noodles but I accidentally ordered the rice version and I actually prefer the rice version more. The rice version holds onto more sauce than the noodles. My secret recipe: chop up some cabbage/onion/garlic and stir fry until soft. Add in shirataki and stir fry for couple more minutes. Add in these sauces to taste: sriracha, sweetener/honey/sugar (use whatever you have available in pantry), soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame seed oil (add this right at the end). Makes a low calorie pad thai ish dish.

When opened, these noodles do have a distinct smell, and I thoroughly rinsed these for 15 to 30 minutes periodically... I left in sink to drain for 20 minutes, but still had to use paper towels to pat dry the rice shaped noodles... I cooked them for 5 minutes and was going to try use as a side replacing rice... instead I made it into a fried rice... using green onions, mushroom, chicken and egg.. I used soya sauce as well... Over all I would like to use this with making delicious Chinese dishes, suck as beek n broccoli 🥦 or stir frys... Now I do have the spaghetti shirataki noodles and may try these in one of the above mentioned dishes.. Once again this is my personal preference and I'am a chef... So if someone else has other recipes with these delicious little noodles, by all means try it out... I will be searching for other ways to incorporate these into different dishes Ps. I would say to cook these for 5 minutes on a medium to medium high heat... & the consistency well, better see for yourself (: Enjoy Bess Bee

When I first tried this product, I was so pleasantly surprised at how great it tastes as an alternative fried rice! Take note that it smells absolutely awful when you open the package, so I’d recommend not smelling it at all —just turn your head away and breathe through your mouth. Drain, rinse well, and season the hell out of it when you cook it. It soaks flavours up. I’m so happy that the whole package is only 60 calories! If you’re a volume eater but trying to cut calories, this is a great product! HOWEVER, it hurts me that I got a bad batch in my last order (see photo). One bag was total liquid mush. Completely inedible and disgusting. I contacted Amazon about it but received no reply. I know they’re very busy with the pandemic so I don’t know if I’ll ever get a refund. This product is not on the cheap side, so it really sucks to be left hanging with a bad batch. I would like to order this again, but at this point I’m a bit hesitant. I don’t want to pay for an order and risk getting another bad batch again. 😓
