Golden paints are quality. Deeper pigmented, you get your money's worth. This purple is truly a "royal" color.

a VERY deep purple that comes out of the tube more or less a black- really good for glazing and mixing with Tit. white to get some beautiful colors. If you need a straight purple useable out of the tube that looks like purple (ala Crayola), this isn't it. But if you are willing to add a bit of white and play with it, you'll get a beautiful myriad of violets and purples to add to your palette.

As an artist, Golden Brand Artist Colors are—in my opinion—the Best Buy out there for several reasons: 1) Economy. Golden paints are a heavy body (highly pigmented colors) and even Beginners use less which, in turn, makes them easier and cheaper to use than “Student Grade” acrylic paint—where you need to apply many coats—in the long run. 2) Consistency. Golden Brand Artist Colors are consistent in their colors. Unlike a yarn dye lot, the Golden Brand paints are consistent, and even if you are working on a large painting—run out of paint and re-order—the artist can be confident color will be consistent and one can pick up right where s/he left off in the painting. 3) Golden Brand Paints are made right here in the United States. If the artist has a question about the product s/he can pick up the telephone, call the company and actually have their questions answered. Golden Paints are an invaluable partner to the artist. I would not hesitate to purchase this brand. Golden Paints stand head and shoulders above many other brands out there.

Golden is a great paint company. I ordered diox. purple and got phthalo blue light!!! I reordered and hope to get the right color this time. The phthalo blue light is a beautiful color so I’m keeping it.

I like the paint. Can't really go wrong with the Golden brand. Sure wish I could get them to send me the actual purple color I've ordered. Ordered once, received wrong color. Returned and the replacement was still the wrong color. Tried ordering again, still received the wrong color. I currently have five tubes of Phthalo Green.

Golden brand heavy body paint gives dependable results every time. Great quality product and the delivery time was great.

The flip top is great - so much easier and neater then the screw on top.

The paint is good but the cap is awful. Difficult to remove and the top snapped off so now have to tape the cap on.
