Filbert Paint Brushes

These were exactly the kind of brushes I expected. Bristles are Taklon (nylon) with a medium stiffness. Should handle just about any light to heavy medium. As shipped, they have some sizing to keep their shape, like from major brush makers, but it should rinse out easily. Nice appearance, nice feel, a great price. I'll be looking for more brushes like these in the future.

These are good working paint brushes for everybody. I'm a professional artist working in oils. I wash my brushes first in turpentine, then give them a little bath in gentle dish detergent and water, and lastly washed by hand using a bath soap. These little Filberts appear to be hearty, with helpful points, and solid bodies. The small ones are quickly replacing my tiny Brights because these Gilbert's keep their shapes and are easy to use. I like these brushes.

Wasn’t honestly expecting much for the price, but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of these! They’re well made, have a great weight/hand feel. Will be buying more of these in the future.

Good brushes for a nice loose stroke. However, not a long wearing brush. I paint with oil paints often and these brushes get cleaned just as often, as a result they fray at the end. I imagine that they would be longer lasting for watercolors and acrylics. For me, I like the stroke that they allow, so I purchase more.

Do not loose brittles, easy to clean. Art teacher said they are good brushes.

During Covid-19 I decided to replace all of my art brushes. I decided to buy this kit because of the different round sizes. Honestly, haven't used them yet, but I like the option of several size of a round tip brush. these could be used for makeup too. I didn't buy them for that but it's and the option to girls that enjoy makeup.

The bristle are decent and dont break when cleaned. They hold paint well. Sadly the covering on the wood handles started chipping within a short time.

I've been painting a long time (oils). I'm hard on my brushes and these brushes are a great value. I have a lot of brushes, very expensive brushes, Rosemary & Co. Are my favourite but I must say, I'm impressed by these brushes, I'm ordering a second set. I've noticed no shedding. They clean up very well. Does the blue peel off the handle? Yeah, so what! Who cares! Highly recommend!
