Pantenger Earl Grey Tea is a Blend of Bergamot Essential Oil And Ceylon Black Tea Leaves. : Grocery & Gourmet Food Review: Amazing morning tea - I adore this tea, can’t wait to wake up in the morning and drink it. It so delicious, the rose petals are very fragrant. Excellent quality, does not make me nauseous at all, like some other black teas. Review: Delicious Tea but Pricey - This tea is delicious, however for the amount of tea in this tin, it was not a good value. The tin is well made, attractive and reusable so I suppose there is some value in that, that I'm not particularly appreciative of. 3.5 ounces of tea for $24.90 is too much to pay quite honestly. Vahdam Masala Chai tea is of equal quality and you can get of packet of 100 prefilled teabags in a resealable pouch for $17.99 and there are 7.05 ounces of tea in total in this package. I won't purchase this brand again. It's price is just quite to dear.

Not a match...
Update: The shop owner reached out to me personally and kindly offered me a refund. I appreciate this and have upgraded my rating due to the pleasant transaction. That said, this tea was not a match for me. Rose teas are usually delicate in taste, especially when the base is black tea--however--this tea was seriously lacking in flavor and taste. As far as I'm concerned the problem is that this is a poor quality black tea base: it tastes bitter no matter what temp it is brewed at or how long it is steeped. The bitter, flat black tea overshadows the rose hints completely. This is a tea I wish I could return but be warned, this is not part of the seller's policy for this item. The packaging and presentation, on the other hand, is indeed beautiful and appears to be of great quality but this is a classic example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. The smell of the loose tea right out of the box was divine; the scent of the rose petals rreminded me of rose flavored turkish delights. I was excited and looking forward to a smooth, light and subtly sweet tea but this was underwhelming.

You can't go wrong with Pantenger, I suspect
While Lapsang Souchong is certain my favorite black tea, it's not all created or packed equally. This is certainly some of the most delicious Lapsang Souchong I've ever had, the smoothness is sweet and perfectly balances the smokiness. Drinking this is at once utterly relaxing and energetically motivating, perfectly illustrated by the iconic feline one finds on the delightful tin. Conveniently, the tin latches closed and is not too flimsy as such tins go. Additionally the tea arrived sealed securely within a high-quality bag inside the tin, and the tin itself was packed decently as well. My only complaint that this tea was so good I went through it faster than I should have; as such it may be a dangerous indulgence if you love good tea! So you should probably buy it.

Chocolate aroma, toasted flavor, not like Keemun
I've heard of Keemuns having a chocolate aroma/flavor before, but this is the first one it's been unambiguously true of. Well, the aroma is like chocolate, but the flavor is sort of a toasted grain flavor, which is something I might expect of some oolongs, but not Chinese black teas, especially Keemuns. It's pleasant enough—if you told me this was a roasted oolong, I'd give the flavor maybe 4 out of five, and I'll tell myself that's what this is when I drink it—but this just isn't what I expect of Keemuns. Nice canister, though.

Taste and Smell amazing
Great improvement compared to Twinings. It doesn't smell or taste artificial. You won't feel like you're drinking perfume. If you compare it to Twinings (even before brewing), you can clearly see the difference in texture , size and fragrance. Plus this is organic. It is better to brew black tea because you get the most out of the tea; the color, the aroma, & the taste will be VERY VERY different than making it as a tea bag. I use about one cup boiling water with 1 TBsp of tea in a small ceramic pot. For brewing, I use a stove kettle. After bringing it to boil, bring the heat back down to very low. Leave the teapot on for 10 to 15 min, not more. I pour about 1/3 black tea in a cup and 2/3 boiling water on top. Depending on how dark or light I want my tea, I change the ratio.
