RoadPro RPSP-15 Universal CB Extension Speaker with Swivel Bracket, 2-3/4 x 4-1/2"

Internal speaker died, this plugged in and used double sided adhesive to mount flush.

Got this external to use on my Anytone 788UV since the speaker on the unit isn't that great and doesn't get too loud. Also the little built in speaker on the mic kinda sucks. The cord is long enough for me to route the wires under the carpet and to the radio which is mounted to the lower dash of my vehicle. Audio is nice and loud, the only think I wish they change is to switch the connectors from a 90 degrees to a straight plug. Other than that, it's a great speaker that works well and now I'm able to hear the radio while driving.

I'm a broadcaster and I'm surrounded by expensive professional audio equipment and I have to say this speaker sounds surprisingly good for the money. I bought two of them based on reviews found here and I wasn't disappointed. I use one in the car with a Yaesu FT2900 ham radio and the other in my house with a Yaesu FT8900. I've also used them with 2 different handheld scanners. In all of these cases the speaker's mono 3.5mm (1/8th-inch) mini plug exactly matched the radios. I've encountered no situation where I've had to turn up the volume past 25-50%. The vocal quality has a nice mid-range tone; not too tinny and not too boomy; very pleasing and not at all harsh. This speaker improved the quality of all four of the above radios ... in fact I'd say they all sounded about the same through this speaker. Its size and weight makes it ideally suited to merely clip it in place and move it around as needed. Neither of mine are permanently mounted because I like the flexibility to move from place to place, especially when I want to hide it away in the center console. I can't really compare this to others bearing more recognizable names, but at $13, this is definitely a 5-star purchase in my view. I'd gladly buy more of these.

Nothing fancy but it serves it’s purpose well. Sound quality is better than I expected. Plenty of cable so you can place it where you need it. The bracket on mine is bent (see picture) but it doesn’t matter much in my application, on a Lido cup holder mount alongside the face plate for my Yaesu FT-891.

Got a new to me truck and my shop didn’t install a speaker when they put our radio in. Unfortunately built in speakers are nowhere near loud enough to be useful when you rely on your radio to do your job (off highway driving). Needed a fairly small speaker because space was limited, this fit the bill perfectly! 2020 T880 for anyone looking to replicate. Insanely easy install; I had it mounted and hooked up by the time I was half loaded. I’m sure I could’ve found a louder speaker but this one is plenty loud enough for me. Clean and crisp no static like some in previous trucks.

Love this powerful little speaker! Just plug and go! Amazing sound quality for its little size! Price was low as well. This speaker is mounted on a bracket allowing you to angle the speaker if so desired. The bracket has pre drilled holes along its surface to allow for permanent mounting if you choose to do so. Purchase was a few years ago now, been using it daily and have never had an issue! Highly recommend!

I purchased a cheaper copy of this model and regretted it. This one has much more bass tone much better.
