Yes. My girls (7 and 10) switch up and play with LPS, Monster High dolls, DC Superhero dolls, beenie boos and lil critters. Best dollhouse we've purchased so far.

Is the box that is shipped the dollhouse box or is it a plain brown box ? It is a Christmas present.

I can tell you my 6 year old son would absolutely play with this. Planning on buying for my 2.5 year old daughter for her 3rd birthday. We have the kid craft pirate castle that we bought them both for Easter and they have both loved it immensely, so now we plan to upgrade. I don't think these kinds of things are gender specific. It's a house after all. And I know plenty of bachelor's who spent a lot more than $130 on their houses, so it would be weird for someone to tell you a young boy couldn't also have a little house of his own. Go for the gusto!

Most definitely yes!!! We've had ours for 3 years now. Great investment for our two girls who are now 5 and 7. They still play with this almost daily. They can fit Barbie's pink convertible in the garage as well...
