During a wild night of debauchery, a gang of vengeful women plot to massacre a monastery full of corrupt monks who sold their loved ones into slavery. "Primitive screwheads" vs the Army of Darkness... er Dark Trees
Take the movie Army of Darkness. Remove Bruce Campbell. What do you get? Answer: The primitives forced to defend the castle themselves against an overwhelming supernatural enemy. That's exactly what you get with Viking Siege.Without a wisecracking Ash stealing the show and refusing to take the threat seriously, the hapless medievals get their chance to shine. The ensemble cast does a mostly excellent job playing assorted heroes, cowards, thugs and scumbags. Don't make the mistake of thinking this is some historical film about Vikings. It's NOT that at all. It's firmly lodged in whatever sub-genre Army of Darkness occupies. And really, how many films like that get made? Not many! So if you're a Deadite, just sit back, ignore (or embrace) the watery stage blood, confusing plot points, and questionable creature effects and just have fun with Viking Siege -- as the filmmakers clearly intended. I for one would LOVE to see a sequel!

Tries to Tell a Story, Forgets we need to be able to follow the story line.
This is low budget and it shows principally in the lack of story continuity as it appears they got to editing and said this is the action footage and dialog we have, and try to place it into a movie. The only thing I can figure is the important components of the story make it understandable was that they was supposed to be sub-titles to accompany the dialogue spoken in languages outside English that were not included as they ran out of funds. There is a lot of action and death in varying degrees of low budget gore and we think their may be a heroine to cheer for from time to time. But in the end nearly everybody dies and the bad guys do not appear vanquished or even set back. Thus it is watchable and tries to tell a story. Settle for the action and do not get your hopes up that it will improve as it goes. So Two Stars as one can watch it and they try to have a plot and some characters worth cheering for.

“But it does look like a very nice boat.”
A tavern (and/or monastery) with the worst service ever, is soon the temporary home to a number of enemies suddenly forced to give up their grudges, unify, and battle a monstrous army of vegetation-people pounding on the door. Basically, this is just one long drawn-out battle sequence in the main room of a monastery. They fight each other and then the monsters. It’s a variation on the same fight and it’s the audience who loses the battle.
