It functions as its intended. One thing to remember is that if you bump the hood a little it will pivot to one side. This may or may not affect your photo. It hasn’t for me. No ways around this unless you tighten the Velcro really tight even then it will pivot if you bump it. As far as the product, it lighter than the plastic hood and compact since you can fold it and place it in your carry on, back pack or luggage. Get it if you want something lighter and portable. Very practical hood, good value for the money (1/10th of the price of the original, rigid Canon hood). Being a flexible hood, it is susceptible to coming off if hit against something. Therefore, my view is that the original hood is still better, but this one provides good value for the money

Great fit and sturdy

Though the Sigma 150-600 mm (95 mm filter size) is one of the lenses listed for this hood, it's too big and won't attach properly. It will work for my 560 mm f/4 with its larger objective lens, but that one has a built-in hood.

Easy to use and is very durable

I thought I'd leave a quick review to help other buyers. Rolanpro has some really good stuff, and I love the camo rain cover for my Sony 200-600. I tried this Rolanpro folding hood for that lens, but it's way, way too big. This large "L" size could only be for a 600 prime. They make a folding hood specifically for the 200-600 but only in black unfortunately. Here's a tip for anyone who finds themselves in the same dilemma - check the filter size of the lens my 200-600 is 95mm, so I'm going for the Rolanpro made for the the Sigma 150-600 next which is close at 105mm

Once you start moving around with the lens or set it down and the lens shade moves it is difficult to secure it again without removing it and repositioning the lens shade
