The New Annotated H.P. Lovecraft: Beyond Arkham (The Annotated Books) Review: Beautifully done - This is the second volume of Klinger’s Lovecraft annotations and it is full of information. It comes in about half the weight of the first one ,still a large book but carrying around and reading isn’t as hard as the first. The annotations also are all closer to the page they are referring to this time. Most of of them are in the same page. This is an improvement because the first volume had some very long annotations and if 3 or so were close ,you would be flipping back to find the information.Shorter stories in this one ,one of my favorites “He” is included and I found out even more information.Leslie is very in depth and keeps almost all political/social commentary out of all of his works which is such a positive especially now and with Lovecraft.”Just the facts,Mam” Joe Friday of annotated works. Beautiful photos and illustrations inside as well. Review: Sweet Ermengarde, the rest of Lovecraft's works have finally be annotated was well! - Well, the rest of his Horror works anyway. Leaving a comedy work like Sweet Ermengarde itself is understandable. This volume focuses more on HP's non-Mythos horror stories like The Lurking Fear, Cool Air, and Pickman's Model, and well as some of his 'Dreamlands' cycle. Their lack of includment in the previous volume was my one and only complaint about the previous volume, which was focused primarily on his Cthlulu/Arkham stories. Overall, this is a much slimmer book than the first one, though still not light reading by any means.

Great addition to the worlds of HPL.
Neat expansion on the HPL universe. The commentary is a detailed and fascinating addition to the mythos.

Beautiful Book
Been a Lovecraft fan since I was in 7th. grade. Still have all the Ballantine Books paperback editions from 1973. This edition is a joy to read!

My 10 year old loved it
My10 year old flew through this book in about two weeks. The hardback arrived in great condition. The writing style is older which not everyone enjoys. The font size is average.

This is the second volume. I already own the first volume, so this was a must.

5 star Book, 3 star delivery condition = 4 star review
The reason I'm giving this a 4 star review is because this book arrived with salt/sand inside the box it came in. I was very confused and worried about the condition of the book. Upon checking it, it had this grainy material inside the hardcover flaps and seam, but not in the pages. The cover was hardly damaged, but you can still feel the indentations when you run your hands over them. I decided to keep it, but still felt necessary to explain what happened. Anyway, this goes along nicely with my copy of the Annotated H.P. Lovecraft
