CheckBuilderPro - Windows & Mac Check Printing Software

I have been looking for an IOS-based check writing program since 2006. I had been using Checksoft - a Windows-based product - on a laptop that I only turn on once or twice a year to make sure it is updated. Checksoft is a pre-dinosaur product that only works on Windows (which is another dinosaur). I have contacted Checksoft on numerous occasions over the years and just recently called and sat on hold for 45 minutes to find out “no we do not have a Mac version - nor do we plan to have one”. To say that I loath Windows-based programs is an understatement! I knew that Versacheck would not work for my needs. I decided to download the demo for CheckBuilderPro3 and was surprised with the intuitive program. It took just a few steps to complete a check, whereas Checksoft took much more time to complete the same process. The look of the templates and the ease of adjusting to your needs are superior to Checksoft. I still had a few questions so I called the number on the website. My first surprise was that Mr. Knapp, the owner of the company, answered the phone. My second was his willingness to help someone who was just a potential customer at that point. My third surprise, after purchasing the product, was how he handled another of my inquiries. His willingness to make sure CheckBuilderPro met all my needs is unheard of in any industry. His dedication to customer service is “ABOVE AND BEYOND” anything I’ve experienced. If you want a product for your Mac that is easy to use, exceeds expectations - not only in programming but more importantly in customer service - CheckBuilderPro3 is the check writing program for you. I highly recommend CheckBuilderPro3!

Used to have Quickbooks Pro for years when we had our company, but after retirement we didn't need to spend for the somewhat costly subscription so ordered this for occasions when I wanted to print the large-sized checks for a quality appearance. This product is easy to use and offers good variety of styles, so perfect fit for those few times needed.

I have/manage a number of checking accounts. Since I don't actually write very many checks these days. I have been saving a small fortune by printing my own check blanks as needed. Years ago, I had the major name brand check printing software, and was very happy with it. My version eventually stopped working, and I learned that newer versions required costly subscriptions. Not for me! At that time I found a very inexpensive check printing software on Amazon. It never worked great, but did the job. I recently decided it was time to upgrade, and decided to give CheckBuilderPro a try. I received the CD/DVD along with a download link. The software installed quickly and seamlessly, and works perfectly! Setup was pretty easy, and I am now able to print checks for all of my accounts as needed. The checks work seamlessly with Quicken/Quickbooks, so I print out the blanks, then put them back in my printer, and use Quickbooks to fill them in. Couldn't ask for anything more! I believe the price of this software is very reasonable, considering its quality. Highly recommend!

It is not easy to use it is not good for the money it was a complete waste of money couldn't tell you about the quality cuz I used it about 10 minutes and tossed it in the trash definitely would not recommend it to anybody that is not a computer programmer

I will tell you that I am old school , I thought this product would save me time and money, I put it in my computer and it would not auto start, I was ready to send it back (remember I'm old school, its not the product its the operator) somehow I sent in I thought a e mail that would get disregarded or a ai thing would respond, no a actual human being responded, in just a few minutes I received a e mail back with the proper instructions on how to get this product up and running, A real human he made sure I was all set up and when I started using it it worked, I wish I had more stars to give them they are a very good company to work with I HIGHLY RECOMEND THIS PRODUCT. Thank You you don't get service like this very often.

Finally got around to upgrading my old check software and after a little research decided on this program. It does everything I need it to, multiple accounts, check customization and more! Great software. Only reason it go 4 stars is because the program opens in a window that you can't make bigger or smaller and I'd like to be able to make it fill more of the screen, but that's not a big deal for me.

I only want to use the register/reconcilation to bank features, not the check printing... WOW!!!! First, the owner, Marty, responded to my email questions almost immediately ON A SATURDAY.... I echo all the comments about good customer service. ---I brought over the QIF file from Quicken but hadn't saved it (my bad).. once I did that it brought in the balances and splits and completely matched by Quicken register. I would just recommend that if you are switching, you do it BEFORE your Q expires but it worked for me anyway... --- I was able to make the few corrections I needed to make to the old transactions (voiding one, and changing one from a deposit to a payment) in CBP easily! ---then I added a deposit and atm withdrawal and balanced exactly to my Chase balance. --- you can have any number of accounts, like in Quicken Overall, I maybe invested an hour of my Saturday to get it set up for checking and work through my questions... Will be setting up my other accounts but there's no rush... THUMBS UP FROM ME! And no annual fees! Bye Bye Quicken! I agree with John D. Millard from March 2020 and thank him for his review, since his situation was most like mine, not wanting to pay Q annual fees for register and reconciliation!
