Easy to use, secure, and easy to install (once you watch the install video)
To give background, we have used these on both IKEA Besta tv cabinet storage, and IKEA Kallax door inserts. Installation: The door latches were extremely easy to install. It comes with an applicator, which allows you to put both parts of the latch (the part that goes on the main body of the unit, and the part that attaches to the door) into it and then attach the unit part first, then shut the door, which applies the door latch to it. Once that is done, remove the applicator, and your door latches are in place, just press on each part for a few seconds(I did 10 just to be sure) so that it is at ultimate adhesiveness. It is also best to measure a bit first, as I had 2 cases where I put the unit part a little too far in, which meant when I closed the door, the door did not connect with the applicator, thus I had to remove the unit part, destroying the adhesive layer on it in the process. But there are some extra stickers that come with the pack, so this has not rendered the parts used useless! The guide in the package did leave me a bit confused, so I did put of installing them a bit as I didn't want to mess it up. Luckily the company has got a video to help show you how to install the baby door locks, which was 100% useful and meant I could get it done. I was able to do 3 IKEA Besta doors, and 3 IKEA Kallax door inserts in 15 minutes. This included testing the key and trying to pry the door open. Ease of Use: It is extremeley easy to use. THey have included some stickers with a lock symbol to allow you to see where you need to put the magnet unlock key in order to unlock the door. Very good idea, and very useful to people, like me, who forget where they install things! I have found with some doors that I have to press the door in a bit with the magnet key in the right place for it to disengage, but that is most likely because of where the unit latch is situated, and that the carpet pushes on the door frame of the tv unit. Quality: Great quality product, using 3M adhesive stickers which are very high quality. The plastic doesn't look cheap and because it is all internal to each door unit you are securing, it is not ugly (hidden baby proofing for the win!). I did have 3 of the latches, when they were first installed, which looked like they wouldn't lock. But it turned out that the door latch was just initially stuck in the open position. Just pushing the latch to closed fixed this permanantly and have no problems with them so far Security: These are very secure, so much so, that my 9 month old is very angry that he can no longer open the door, even though he tries with all his might to get to the consoles in the main tv unit. So top marks on security, low marks on making my son happy! Overall: All in all, these were worth the money. I bought them a week ago and had been putting it off because of installation worries, but then my son opened one of the doors fully and screamed with delight. So obviously i panicked, found the installation video and fitted them all very quickly. Thank you for a great product!

Childproof Magnetic Cupboard/Drawer Lock
My 4 yo has developed a desire, want, craving, demand for sweet things. These are kept in a cupboard in the kitchen and up until last week he would never dream of walking up to it, opening the door and helping himself to whatever he desires, until now. Little darling child was found on the sofa with two little bowls, one on top of the other acting as a lid (blatantly an obvious cover up of something he knew he shouldn't be doing) and was questioned about the contents of said bowls. He tried to deny that anything was there and then admitted he raided the cupboard and helped himself to the Haribo's (other sweet brands are available but just don't quite have the same taste). We gave him a second chance (stupidly like he'll never do it again) and a few days later he decided at bed time to walk up to the cupboard in front of us, open it whilst looking at us and try to take something. I then told him I am getting a lock for the cupboard and he literally cried his eyes out and begged me not to. The result is the lock shown. This review is absolutely nothing to do with the lock itself but just the backdrop to why I am here and now you presumably are too as you may have experienced the same or are currently. If that's the case then let me tell you these locks are great. They are solid and no 4 yo boy is going to be getting into the goodies cupboard anytime soon that's for sure. The locks are great in that they are packaged well, have the option to use the 3M pads that are attached to the sections and/or use the small PZ1 screws that also come with it. I initially done it with just the pads and they instantly stuck and was not coming off for love nor money but for added reassurance just in case he tried swingning on the doors I have also used the screws. Once they stick they're stuck. The pack also comes with a tool that allows for a foolproof installation of the two sections being the magnetic lock and the catch. Even if you're a absolutely useless at DIY you will be able to install them. Trust me. If you're partner is the typical it'll get done tomorrow kind of person and you get frustrated with that as you're not good at DIY and rely on them with this you can take the Bull by the horns and crack ok yourself. Takes all of 3 mins per lock and 2 mins of that is spent doing what I done in the video. When fitted the lock holds firm and the door doesn't move. You place the magnet, which also has its own holder to store it up out of the children's reach with its own 3M pad on the back, on the section on door which has the lock behind and you hear the lock drop and release. You can then open the door. When you close the door it relocks itself. It's as simple as that. The magenta work by having the same poles ie N and N or S and S and they repel off each other causing the lock to lower and release. When you remove the magent it returns to its intended lock position. The pack comes with tiny little stickers that you can place on the door where you need to apply the magnet for other adults to know if they need to and you're not there for example babysitters or grandparents. Highly recommended lock and well made. Cannot see this breaking easily. Famous lasts words maybe but it don't feel like it will break quickly.

Easy to set up. Works!
Better than our old baby lock. Baby cant touch or interact with these so works wonders. The option to glue or screw them in is must needed especially if u need to lock areas that are not child friendly. Very easy to install (did take me a few videos and tries to understand) but once done easy to set up. :) very happy with this purchase and would recommend for future parents.

Work great
I was ready to be disappointed but in fact they work brilliantly and I've ordered a second box. Incredibly easy to install, very effective and nice to not have visible child locks all over the house.

Very effective
Amazing product, easy to fit, does the job and out of view apart from the little sticker so you know where the lock is to open with the magnet

Adaptable to most cabinet doors & drawers, easy to install, and very strong.
I'm very happy with these child locks. They're adaptable to different types of cabinet doors and drawers, as you can place them on the side as well as the top, which comes in handy when you have multiple drawers one above another. They're also very easy to install and strong. I'd highly recommend.

Fantastic product
Fantastic product, does what it says it will do. Little bit of a faff installing, but only in the finer details of making sure the components line up. Take a bit of getting used to having to use the 'key' to get into a cupboard after installation, but the 'key' is magnetic so will stick to most metal objects in a kitchen or can be put in the handy stick on holder. Didn't think they would be that good as they're only stick on, but the 3m tape is amazing. Installed a week ago and have withstood two adults repeatedly forgetting and trying to open cupboard doors, a 7 year old desperately trying to get to snacks and a 1 year old shaking the life out of them.

Good overall, but instructions could be clearer
They do the job, and look nice/ are discreet, but aren't as easy to install as suggested and a little pricey for what you get. The instructions seem to miss out a few steps, I'll write some easier to follow ones here: 1. Clean the area you want to use 2. Get the applicator out and pair up a lock/ hook part with the smaller rectangular catch part, then slot them into the applicator with the adhesive side showing and the layer of plastic removed from the adhesive strips 3. Once in the applicator, place the top strip on the bit of the cupboard where you will want the lock to go - tip - don't go too near the handle of the cupboard because you might end up covering over screws and things near the handle (you want it flush against the sides of the cupboards and doors); you need it to be right at the front edge of the cupboard too so that the counterpart will hook in place 4. Close the cupboard door so that the other adhesive strip will stick in place and keep it closed for a while so that it actually sticks (they do seem to stay on pretty well, but I've not had them for that long yet) 5. Open the cupboard door and remove the applicator from the catch (it should just pull straight off) 6. The hook will need to be pressed up so that it is raised up a bit and will hook onto its counterpart 7. Put a lock sticker on the outside of the cupboard to show where the magnetic lock is 8. Put the magnetic keys somewhere sensible, e.g. on the fridge/ other white goods or on the underside of the higher up cupboards Tip: when opening the cupboard door, the magnetic key needs to stay pressed against the door/ lock. Sometimes it might take a couple of attempts to get the catch to release, so I just hold and wiggle the magnetic key over the area until I hear it click, but that could be operator error my end!
