WORKS.
Bottom line: this WORKS. My elderly boxer developed demodetic mange and yeasty skin in folds (lower immunity) and I followed EXACTLY the instructions and within 1 treatment (1x a week, 3x total) it was reversing. Downside: you have to do this outside. If you can't, dont get it. It's MASSIVELY smelly and will permanently stain everything dark yellow. EVERYTHING. My dog is a dark fawn color so can't say if it would stain light/white fur but I bet it does. Throwaway gloves, throwaway flip flops, outside air. The smell is so strong that after several subsequent baths with oatmeal dog shampoo a few months later I can still smell it on him in spots. BUT IT WORKS VERY WELL for mange and yeast conditions. Of course, you should also take your dog to the vet for edible medications to fight from within as I did. But until you do, this topically stops it and is a fast-acting, good layer of treatment. Worth the smell and nasty staining because my dog instantly felt better after the first treatment. I hope I never have to treat this awful condition again, but know what to initially use if it does.

Excellent treatment for removing rough scaly patches
We rescued a three month old kitten that has round rough scaly patches on his back. After reading reviews of several products on amazon.com, I decided to order EQyss Micro-Tek Medicated Pet Shampoo, 16-Ounce , Keratolux Shampoo 16oz , and Naturasil Homoeopathic Remedies for Pet Mange, 60 ml, 2 Ounce . First I used the EQyss shampoo twice in one week, and the kitten's one rough scaly patch escalated to three patches. Next I used the Keratolux shampoo twice in one week, and the patches started receding, and his fur began to grow back, but the rough scaly patches remained. Today I used the Naturasil product, and was astonished to see the scaly debris coming loose from his skin. The EQyss shampoo left the kitten fresh smelling, and we'll definitely be able to use it for normal bathing of other cats. The Keratolux shampoo also left the kitten fresh smelling, and in addition left his fur very soft, and we'll also definitely use the Keratolux on other cats. The Naturasil product is mixed as follows: 30 ml of Naturasil, 2 oz. water & 5 oz. pet shampoo. Directions do not say to wet the animal first, so I applied it to his dry fur. It is supposed to be left on for 5-7 minutes, but the kitten began to attempt to escape shortly after it was applied, so I rinsed him after about two minutes. When I give him his next treatment, I'll try applying the mixture only to the patches in hopes that he'll tolerate it longer. The kitten seemed to enjoy his shampoos with the other products, but may not have liked the strong sulphuric-type odor of this product, or it may have given him a stinging sensation, as it stung my skin where it got onto my arms.

Last ditch effort
I bought this because I thought my boy had mange. I noticed what now looks like lice and lice eggs attached to his hair. He has been losing hair on his belly and back legs. So I bought some lice spray which is easier to apply. If that doesn't work I can use this because he is hard to bathe and will smell like rotten eggs so I will have to leave him outside.

Not for me... no way.
Bought this to battle what i believe to be demodex mange on my 5 month old pitbull puppy along with some benzoyl peroxide shampoo to use with it. I expected it to stink, but oh my goodness..... it was horrendous. thats not the reason for the bad review tho. I did as the intructuctions said.... and mixed this nasty s*** with the shampoo and water.... but it made the shampoo clump up to the point where it wasnt spreadable nor would it make suds like shampoo is supposed to. I put a fan in my bathroom window to blow out the smell while i had pup in the tub, but it made my whole house stink regardless. if you decide to do this, do it outside. i didn't follow the directions when it came to leaving it on for 10 mins or whatever. After i realized it wasnt working properly I just rinsed it off him the best i could and used a peroxide shampoo by itself. I poured this junk down the drain and threw away the clothes i was wearing. So i cant comment on how well it works. Im going to try using food grade diatomaceous earth for this case of "maybe demodex". The vets just keep giving him antibiotics, and shampoos that dont work. Its like a big guessing game to everyone, so i decided to guess myself instead of paying my vet $100 every visit to guess. Im starting to think it might be flea bite dermatitis even tho he doesnt seem to have fleas. i dont have my dogs on a preventative because they're mostly indoor dogs. They say just 1 flea bite can cause a bad, itchy reaction, so if flea bite dermatitis is the case... diatomaceous earth will be excellent for that as well. Ill be bathing him in the peroxide shampoo and then dusting him with the DE once he is dry. Im going to do this every other day or so. Im also putting a teaspoon of braggs raw organic apple cider vinegar in my puppys food (mites, fleas ect are supposed to hate the stuff) along with switching his food from purina puppy chow to grain free blue wilderness salmon. Between the diatomaceous earth, the food change and the apple cider vinegar in hoping we can kick this thing in the butt. Good luck to everyone, regardless of what you choose to do !
