Urinary Tract Health Chicken Entree in Gravy Cat Food - (Pack of 24) 3 oz. Pull-Top Cans

[UPDATE] It has been nearly one year since my first review and I'm happy to report that my cat has not experienced ANY veterinarian problems. No bladder issues, healthy coat, and looking great! I can't recommend this product enough! Also, you think he would get sick of eating the same food for a year straight... NOT TRUE! He makes sure I know every night when it's can time! [ORIGINAL REVIEW] Two months ago (December 2013) my cat had to be brought into an emergency clinic. They proclaimed that he had a blocked bladder and required immediate medical attention, placing a catheter in him and giving him an IV. He stayed overnight and was so bad that they suggested he should stay even longer. I was told he had crystals in his urine and everything needed to be flushed out. Due to financial constraints, I took him home after one overnight stay. The medical bills were outrageous and I am just a college student. There was no way I could afford to keep him there any longer. I was told that there was a high likelihood of of him reblocking in the next few days. I did a lot of research on the internet and decided to purchase Purine One Urinary Tract dry food AND this Purine Urinary Tract canned food. I found that it is very important to include more liquids in his diet. Therefore, I started my own regimen. I feed him the dry food in the morning and afternoon and in the evening I give him one can. He is a big cat, 14 pounds, so I generally feed him quite a bit of dry food (you can find it on Amazon or even in Walmart). I make sure he has plenty of water in his bowl throughout the day. I even add ice cubes to entice him to drink more. It's so important to get those fluids in!! The first week he came home from the vet I was paranoid. I placed water bowls all over the house and put a little chicken broth in the water so he would drink it. I immediately stopped feeding him his old food (Purina Naturals) and started him on this. I feel his bladder to make sure it never feels firm like a peach (sign of obstruction). He hasn't had a single issue! I am so happy to say that this food seems to be doing wonders for him. His chances of making it through this were rough and we beat the odds. However, I would definitely suggest feeding the canned food everyday. If you can, try to feed two cans a day because that liquid is just so important. Unfortunately, I don't have it in my budget to give him two cans a day so I stick to one. Overall, great product!

My male cat needs special food. The Rx canned food is very expensive. I found this otc food that is less pricy and he loves it. I asked my vet if I could mix the 2 and she said yes but watch him to see if he can tolerate it. He has done very well with mixing both foods. I want to keep him healthy but also to enjoy his food . He loves the gravy in the Purina. And it saves me a little money. I would buy again.

The product is great. Due to a urinary blockage, it's all my male cat can eat. I had to adjust the automatic delivery to every 2 wks, and realized that I would run out, so ordered a one time only delivery that would arrive in 2 days from ordering. That was on Dec 26, so expected it on the 28th. It's now Jan 1, 2026 and still not here. Should have arrived before the inclement weather. Rethinking auto delivery.

Like most other reviewers will tell you, if your cat has urinary tract issues, GET THIS. Not only is it pretty cheap (somewhere between $16-$20 for a 24 count; it seems to fluctuate), but it completely eliminates urinary tract crystals. Now, I'm no vet, so take this with a grain of salt. I'm simply another satisfied customer with fantastic results from switching to this food for my cat. You won't find a better deal for urinary tract health food out there, with much of it costing 2-3 times as much. Of course, if your vet prescribes something, listen to your vet, but barring that (or if you want another type of food to supplement with), this is your answer. Hell, I used to just give this to my cat on the weekends and that alone seemed to solve her problems (she was on Blue Buffalo dry food during the week). But after over 6 months accident free, it happened again and I decided to use this full time. No issues since then (it's been close to a year now). Whether this becomes supplementary or a complete replacement for your cat's diet is up to you and your cat, but I can personally attest to its success. It's also worth mentioning that my cat LOVES this food. When I just fed her on weekends, I could literally see her disappointment whenever I went back to dry food on weekdays. In fact, it got to the point where she would refuse the food outright at first (but eventually ate it because, well, she was hungry). I've even tried other wet foods with her and while she'll eat them, she always seems more hesitant. This, on the other hand, I can't even get into her bowl without her trying to wriggle between my legs or nudge my hands out of the way to get at it. Impatient is an understatement. Save yourself the trouble of constantly washing sheets, cushions, and carpets, and save your cat the pain and stress that comes with urinary tract issues. Just give this a try at least. I'm only so adamant because I love my cat and I suffered with her through all the complications of this for nearly a year before getting a proper diagnosis from a vet and finding the answer in this food. If you love your cat as much as I love mine (I'm sure you do), then I know how important finding a solution to this can be both for your cat's health and well-being, but your own. No one wants to wash sheets at midnight when you work the next day because you waited too long to check for accidents, and no animal should rightly suffer just to endure normal bodily functions.

my cat love it. I bought it as a substitute when I ran out of Iam's. Too many calories and way too fat. But if that's what you're into, it is a good cat food

I recently switched my cats to Purina Pro Plan Urinary Tract Health, Chicken formula, and I’m so glad I did. Both boys love the taste and I feel confident knowing it’s supporting their bladder health after losing my other cat to urinary issues. The formula doesn’t come in a big variety of flavors (we stick to chicken because fish isn’t the best for urinary health), but honestly, they don’t mind — they clean their bowls every time. Their coats are shiny, their energy is good, and I’ve noticed they seem more satisfied and content after meals. Yes, it’s more expensive than standard foods, but if you’ve ever faced an emergency vet bill, you know the cost of prevention is far less than the heartbreak and expense of treatment. For me, the peace of mind makes it absolutely worth it. Highly recommend this food to anyone with cats prone to urinary issues.

My cat really likes this food. I started feeding him this purina and he has more energy and his furr is so much softer! He seems to be more healthier and hasn't had any issues so far after I started feeding him this food as he was prone to UTI'S.
