Great amp for my highs!
What an incredible improvement! I installed a system in my commuter car (Ford Escape) and I was trying to stay on a budget. It soon became apparent that running my highs off my Kenwood Excelon head unit wasn't going to cut it, even with the built-in x-over. I have (2) 10" Infinity Reference subs in ported boxes powered by a Hifonics Brutus amp, and (4) Infinity Reference 4x6 coaxials in the doors. Off the head unit, the highs never really seemed to blend with the lows of the subs and there was some harshness that I couldn't get rid of. After installing this amp, the sound is just so much more rich and full - the harshness is gone, the tweeters sound smooth and crisp, and the vocals are enhanced. Everything seems to blend and is much more consistent at all volume settings. The amp stays cool and has enough power to get my Infinitys very loud. This amp was exactly what I needed and the price is very good for this level of quality.

Rockford Fosgate R300X4 prime 4-channel amp
Great little amp. I installed it in a 2002 Jeep Wrangler about a month ago; it weren't no easy task but she's high and dry and out of the elements (top and doors off) and it turns my feet blue at night from the little blue LED power light. Road noise? I don't hear none anymore! I have it installed with a pioneer head and pioneer speakers in the dash and on the bar with a kenwood compact sub woof with amp under the driver seat... great sounding little setup and massages my back and butt at the same time! Without the fosgate amp hooked up i wasn't able to get above road noise (without doors) without a lot of distortion from the radio but with the amp connected this is no longer an issue; sounds are crisp and clear; running most music through a 2nd generation iPod touch. With the soft top and upper doors on makes the plastic windows crackle but this can easily be remedied by a little more volume and if the metal parts start acting up even a little more volume takes care of that, too. Even old country sounds sound new again. At any rate, ROCK ON!!!

Great amp
I have this running off of my factory head unit in a Nissan Versa. The rear channel is bridged powering a 10” sub @ 4ohms. The front two are powering all four door speakers wired for 2 ohms per side. I use the fade on the head unit to adjust between the doors speakers and sub. I feel this is a really good setup for such a small car. The only thing I would change about this amp would be to add an auto signal sensing on feature, and have it be 2 ohm stable in bridged mode. Everything else is awesome. I have it mounted under the driver side seat so I ran the remote on wire from my 12 volt socket in the center console. Mine came rated at 403 watts, and gets a lot louder than I thought it would.

Disappointed, only 2 years & 1 month of life
While it worked it was a decent amp. It never overheated nor did it ever go into protection mode so it was reliable. I used it to drive front components and rear coaxials for a little over 2 years. I should note that I was slightly disappointed with the sound quality but it was passable - I think I was able to turn up the gain to maybe 2.5 max before distortion made anything higher worthless. My install could have had something to do with that issue so I can really only half blame the amp on that one. The failure: The amp stays on all the time and will drain the car battery all the way down to zero. It stays on all the time even with the remote turn on wire removed. This indicates a problem with the internals on the amp. Now I either have to look at spending again on another amp (when I'm getting rid of my car soon) or trek out to a service center of some kind to see about a repair. It's not even worth mailing out for service honestly. I spent a little more to get what I figured was a quality amp that would outlive the car or go to the car's next owner. Turns out the car can't be killed and the amp gave up first. Probably won't buy rockford electronics again.

Good product
This is my second speaker amp, I used to run them on a kenwood 5-channel previously. Definitely an upgrade, this amp has plenty power (received it rated at 485 rms, awesome!!) and my speakers sound amazing with it. As said by someone else in another review, it is loud, but definitely not infinite loud. At the same time, this isn't even close to "oh my factory system is loud bose/beats system bro", this will tear it apart. Every good product has it's cons: The first issue I had and still have with this amp is screwing it. My system is very tight in my trunk. The holes on the sides of this amp can't fit nothing but a straight up screwdriver, and even with one, it's such a pain to get the screw through the hole. Seriously, it is awful, so awful I haven't even figured out after two weeks.. The second thing I noticed is how hot it was after a ride. It's not close to melting at all, but compared to my mono sub amp, it gets hot at a fair volume through time. However, you're spending your money correctly on this. It is well made and will probably more than you expect. I'd definitely consider this amp if you have less than 1500rms of subs.

Just What I Needed
The nav unit I had put in my car was lacking in the sound reproduction department. Needed something to get good sound reproduction. This thing does it. Anything from acoustic guitars to bumping hip hop. This is the loudest thing I have ever heard!!! I hear loud stereos around the area all the time, this pushing 75-80% of the way up is easily heard a full block away. It is seriously one of the loudest things I have ever heard. You can hear subs vibrating from a long distance, but I have never heard actual music this loud. The unit was rated at 389 watts. I could never sit inside the car with it anywhere near that loud. Its even painfully loud standing next to the car with the windows down turned all the way up. And that is with zero gain. It gives the right amount of headroom for my purposes. I wasn't looking for louder. I was looking for soundstage. This amp definitely delivered. Finally decent sound when the volume is low enough to talk over!!!

Yet another great product from Rockford. Was originally bought just run run components and mid-range speakers. Sub amp was late so I tried this out and it pumped the P10-D2 sub very well. Supposed to be 300 watts RMS but the Dyno sheet says 411. Solid amp would but again!
