Very good for tile floors
This works great on tile floors. The suction has a lot of power and it glides easily, also very lightweight which makes it all faster. Very handy to also be able to quickly pull the bottom rolling part off and have an instant hand vac to fit into crevices and small spaces. The filter cup opens very easily, dumps quick, and the filter itself is easily brushed off. Every other week or so I take the filter off and rinse it with some soap and water and then let it air dry. Its very easy to do as the durable white filter rotates on and off easily. Sometimes I also add a few drops of my favorite essential oil into the dirt cup after I've emptied it and then when I vacuum my home has the wonderful aroma of the scented oil and it doesn't seem to hurt the plastic or the vacuum in any way! I use 100% pure organic essential oils in it though so I don't know if any other type of artificial or synthetic fragrance oils would work as well.My last one of these stick vacs quit working after about 10 months of a lot of use, the motor stopped but for the low price that is no problem for me. But my local discount superstore stopped selling this brand and is selling an inferior brand that I already tried and returned. So glad that Amazon is selling these and with free shipping too! These are really handy for a laundry room, small apartment, an RV, garage and anywhere you need speed vacuuming. Probably not the best for high pile carpet but excellent for low pile carpet, linoleum and tile and can also be used as your car vacuum!

Excellent sweeper for floors
This vacuum does a great job on floors -- it has picked up food crumbs, dirt, pieces of dog food, long pet hair, dust, and pieces of styrofoam. The only things it didn't pick up were a few pieces of gravel (not sure why -- they weren't that big). It isn't so great on carpet -- at least, it doesn't get the dog hair off the door mats. It isn't too loud (unlike our giant Eureka Boss vacuum), and as a nice side effect, it calms my infant, and has even put him to sleep. It's also very light -- I can easily use it with one hand. However, it is a bagless vac, so emptying it can be messy -- just do it carefully over a garbage container. I use it once a day, and need to empty it once a week. I've had it for about a month now, and it is the only light vac I've ever used that could get rid of the dog hair in my house!UPDATE: Well, this vacuum did a good job during its lifespan of four years. The motor started to emit a burning smell so that is the end of the vac (the problem with cheap vacs -- too expensive to repair...)... Wow, I used to vacuum once a day?!! Still, this vacuum got frequent use and held up well while it was alive.

Good little vacuum
I like it. I have an 1800sqft house with stained concrete floors in everything but the bedrooms. I also have a very hairy critter that some people refer to a dog living in my house with me. The other critter is commonly referred to as my husband. Both of my animals bring in lots of dirt and one sheds lots of hair. We live in the country and have horses so that compounds my problem. In my foyer, I have an etched design in the concrete that is really hard to clean because all of the fine sand from outside gets trapped in the rough concrete and is really hard to get out with a broom/vacuum. So, I bought this little guy thinking that it might do the trick and it did. I put it to work on the floors, brick around the fireplace, etched design and generally anything that looks dirty. I love it and it works really well. The only crappy things about it are that 1) It does not clean carpet worth a damn. I have a very flat run under my dining room table and it does not work on that. 2) I usually have to empty the little cup on it three times just to do the living room/dining room/kitchen/hallway. I vacuum the floor weekly...maybe my house is just really dirty? I don't think it is THAT dirty, I just think the cup is too small. 3) The cord falls out of the wall with very little pressure. 4)It will not pick up pebbles/dime-sized bits of leaves/small clods of mud. Other than that, I love it! The suction is very powerful for fine dirt/fireplace ashes/dog hair/bits of food/teaspoon of flour I dropped in the kitchen. If you have a situation like mine, it CERTAINLY gets things cleaner than a broom and dust pan.

Great for $20!
I HATE vacuuming. Hate it. My husband will vacuum, but not under furniture and not every week. Our puppy is shedding and the dust bunnies are reproducing, so I thought something lightweight would help me dread this task a litte less. Success! I don't mind vacuuming as much, which means I'll actually whip this out and use it once in a while.- Must empty the filter after each room, which I don't mind bc it's shocking, yet gratifying, to see the amount of puppy fur and dust that has been picked up. (And I Furminate our puppy every morning.)- The cord is only long enough for almost one room, some rooms require replugging, which I also don't mind, bc if it were cordless, it would probably lose suction and charge before I could get the house done and that would be more frustrating than replugging in each room. But with the two items above known prior to purchase, from other reviews, I am extremely happy. This little vacuum has a lot of suction and picks up all of my hair, the dog's hair and the dust bunnies. I used our hepa canister vacuum throughout the house one day and then wet-swiffered the floors, this little guy arrived at lunch the following day and so I tried it out that night. It picked up a whole lot more dust than it should have, knowing the floors were clean. Not sure if it will stay this effective. If the next version has a longer cord, I will buy it, too, so there's one for each floor.
