I got two dip pen sets for my birthday. The other one is horrible and scratchy and dry. THIS ONE is perfect! It holds a lot of ink and makes bold, juicy marks. It flows smoothly across the paper. It seems quite sturdy. And the ink that came with it is gorgeous! Such nice shimmer, especially in the “Hippo” ink. Ostrich is my favorite of the colors but the shimmer wasn’t quite as impressive as Hippo. Honestly, this pen saved my birthday. If I had only gotten the other pen I would have been SO SAD.

A unique niche item that's very fun and interesting to use. Glass pen is beautiful and well crafted. Doesn't feel like it'll shatter with light use. Ink is very watery but perfect for the pen. Colors are vivid.

I wish I could do 4.5 star... cause it would be that. So I got these for an art class in college and had never used a glass pen before. This one caught my eye because it looks so pretty. And it really does look lovely. It says it's a beginner friendly pen which I would say it's mostly true. There's a bit of a learning curve like anything new. The black is really nice. And its easy to do small details with it. The red is more of an orange and is less pigmented. The purple is similar but more true to color. The little gold gitter bits in them though are super pretty when it dries, just make sure you shake well before opening. It does have a strong smell. And it isn't a great smell and as someone really sensitive to scent it would give me a headache after a bit. There's also concern about the rubber seal staying on the cap to keep it from spilling... which one of mine didn't do and I had to put it back seperate before closing it. Make sure they're closed tight, you'll want to turn it a little more after it *feels* like it is on probably to really ensure its closed. Cleans up pretty nicely. Sometimes the pen fell out if the ink cup when I was filling it. To get the remaining color out i put it in water and let it fill. And then twist the pen on a paper towel until it stops giving water. I had to move it to different spots on the paper towel but it didn't take long to do.

This was my first time using a dip pen and I love it. This one is very easy to use. It writes smoothly. The inks are all very nice, but I don't see much glitter in them even though I would shake the bottle each time. If you want to get into using dip pens and don't have many inks, you should buy this set.

I love quality-made functional art, which is what your pen most certainly is. It is beautiful to look at, comfortable to hold, and the crafting, (the actual physics involved in the design of the tip), allows for a surprisingly large volume of ink to be held in the glass spirals...ink that is then released onto the paper in a smooth and even flow during use. There are no drips or splatters, and the tip is easy to clean. Packaging seemed to be almost lovingly done by your company. The extra items that are included with the product show attention to details involved with using a pen of this type. I am both scientifically exacting, as well as artistically expressive, and using this pen makes both of those aspects of myself very happy! I highly recommend your pen!

Great quality ink. Gorgeous colors. Awesome price

I loved the pen. The only reason it's not a 5 star purchase is the broken ink bottle. When I got the pen I tested it with the red and loved it. I'd been using it with the red ink for fun. I decided to try the blue for a project and when I went to open the bottle the top sheered off and spilt all over. Stained my shirt and hands. Thankfully not the floor. The other colours were fine and it all looks gorgeous. Just upset I ruined one of my favorite shirts with a giant blue stain due to defective bottle

Good pen, better with supplied inks or more viscous inks rather than standard fountain pen inks

Brought for my boyfriend who is into calligraphy. Wonderful packaging and the glass pen came with no damage. The inks were lovely but you have to shake it thoroughly before using it to get that metallic look.

Well this is awkward, first time in my life I am physically unable to unscrew any of the lids! They are quite small so am unable to use my whole body strength like I would with a pickle jar, so as cute these as these inks might be... I have paid to look at them standing pretty and not be able to use them! Wondering if the lids are actually glued onto the jars??
