Easy to use, better than clippers
My baby has just turned 3 months old and this has been imperative to our care routine. I was apprehensive about buying clippers as I have a tendency to cut my own skin when using them, so this battery operated file has been a game changer. I love that there are different levels of grit that match the baby's age, and a couple of bits for adults too, as well as replacements. I paid roughly £16 for this and it has absolutely paid for itself given the range of bits as it will see my LO through his first year at the very least. It has two rotation options - clockwise and anti-clockwise, as well as two speeds both ways. The case it comes in is compact and easy to store. It functions well and as expected, and it's very gentle on my newborns nails, but with any device like this parents should always exercise caution and take care when using. It isn't too loud and I usually manage to use it while baby is sleeping, which is a benefit to those whose babies may not like having their nails filed. I also recommend doing it while they sleep as its a lot easier than trying to wrestle them to stay still. An extremely easy to use device that has taken the anxiety out of taking those cats claws down. I would use again in the future if we have any more children.

Perfect but a bit messy
Really good for cutting put baby's nails as he can get fussy with a normal clipper, plus you have to be suuper careful not to hurt them. These are brilliant for gentle nail trimming for both babies and adults. The major flaw with this is the nail 'sawdust' it produces!. If you're not careful you end up inhaling what is essentially powdered nail which is pretty nasty. I'd advise you ever so gently blow while filing to avoid this.

A god send for trimming baby nails
Does what it’s supposed to and files down baby nails. I almost removed the top of my babies thumb with tommee tippee nail clippers so this is FAR safer and kinder! Easy to use and does exactly the bay it’s supposed to, if it touches their fingers it just stops and doesn’t hurt them at all. Would recommend.

Not as good as I through it will be
After a few accidente while cutting the nails with the clippers I decided to buy this electric file. There are plenty of files for different ages, but I believe that is not going such a good job. My baby has trapezoidal nail bed and with this tool I can't get close enough to file the corners as well. The corners if are not cut, end up scratching the babys face. Also, the nail seems to grow faster after filling. I am using it sometimes, but I prefer to use the clippers and finishing with a manual file (while sleeping).

100% Game Changer for baby nails
100% Can't recommend enough We used baby clippers but after an episode of intense crying. No blood but many tears. We became very apprehensive about cutting our babies nails. These were a game changer. Its like a nail file on a rotary pad with different colors for different ages. It takes maybe 20-30 seconds per baby nail with a reasonable length which in my opinion is much faster than fighting to release one finger at a time from a death grip which they still bend, toss and turn. Making it almost impossible to clip their nails. This is so much easier and takes 99% of the stress, anxiety, apprehension and time planning off your ahoulders. Would I recommend the adult pad on this? Absolutely not, its nowhere near powerful or robust enough for that kind of heavy duty work on adult nails.
