Game changer for canvas and leather belt users.
I had been using canvas belts with pull buckles for a long time. I never cared for how leather would eventually crack and the idea of wearing a dead animal's hide around my waist never agreed with me. Pull buckles are also faster and easier to use than traditional hole belts, not to mention versatile when you're trying to lose weight and between pants sizes. You can run out of holes on a traditional belt, but that's never an issue for pull belts. I really had no experience with ratchet belts prior to getting this. But since my weight loss has been going well, I decided to look for something more fashionable for when I would need to tuck in my shirts. Canvas belts, while practical, tend to look shapeless and sloppy. Leather belts had all the interesting buckles, but my old issues with them never went away. Eventually, I found this nylon belt. I expected to only use it for special occasions but it's completely replaced all my other belts. My goodness, it's GOOD. Whereas you pull a pull buckle into place, this belt's buckle has a manual ratchet lock where you push the belt into the position that you need it and it locks in. More importantly, THIS BELT is rigid. It's got a very firm shape, so it forms a solid "belt shape" like a good leather belt would. Unlike canvas belts, which are soft and lead to droopy pants, this belt provides actual support to keep pants up and the material should never tear. The buckle is matte and simplistic. The ratchet lock feels like it could last a lifetime. In short, it completely surpasses every other belt I've come across and looks amazing. The only thing to note is that it has limited resizability. The belt only includes a little extra material, so if I put on a LOT of weight I'd need the next size up. It sizes closer to a leather belt than a canvas belt in that sense, and it doesn't seem to be adjustable like a canvas belt would usually be (where one could easily cut off excess material on the next size up). This is not a problem for me and certainly produces a sharper look where there isn't any extra material to cause a bulge (plus any excess belt would fit neatly under the rest of the belt). Still, it's something to keep in mind. So overall, the belt looks very sharp and works like a dream. I could wear it with almost anything. It is a perfect daily and dress belt. It's also durable and, unless I put on a lot of weight down the road, could probably last a lifetime. Based on the materials, it's also vegan and cruelty free for anyone who cares about that. In short, get this belt. It's a game changer. UPDATE: One year later and this belt is still going strong. The only major thing to note is that the buckle is held together by a small Philips head screw that occasionally comes loose and needs to be screwed back in. Luckily the buckle holds together a bit even when the screw is loose, so this hasn't been much of a problem. That happen every 3 months or so for me. The best thing about the belt lately is that I've been losing weight and resizing the belt is almost effortless, where I just pull slightly more than I would in the past. This belt continues to pay for itself and is proving to be one of my best Amazon purchases to date. Update: I've had this belt for a year and a half. It's outperformed far more expensive belts and adjusted perfectly to me going down 4 pants sizes. The fact its strap goes behind the belt, rather than on top of it (which many belts do), adds to its value. The strap is still perfect but the black buckle had seen better days with lots of black paint coming off to expose raw steel. The screws also were coming loose a lot and needed tightening every month or so. But, since this is a great belt, I decided to maintain rather than replace. I removed the buckle and sprayed it with two coats of matte black Krylon Fusion. Then replaced the old screws with slightly longer M3 screws that seem to be holding better than the old ones. My belt has been good as new since these changes . Technically such treatment should let me keep the belt until I tire of it, which suits me just fine.

So thoroughly pleased
When I purchased this belt, I was looking for something that was well-made and reliable. This belt exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and functionality. It's exactly what I needed and not made with cheap construction. Pros Classy for the Big Boys: This belt has a very sophisticated look that's perfect for any occasion, whether it's a casual outing or a more formal event. Sturdy: The build quality is excellent. You can feel the sturdiness as soon as you hold it. Color: The black color is versatile and matches everything in my wardrobe. Ease of Use: While it’s sturdy, it’s also flexible enough to adjust easily. I can loosen it before I sit down to eat and tighten it when I’m going to be walking around. Cons Adjustment Difficulty: The only downside is that it's a bit hard to adjust, especially if you're on the heavier side like me. But once you get the hang of it, it's manageable. Personal Experience I've had a great experience using this belt. It has become a staple in my wardrobe because it matches everything. One of the features I appreciate the most is its ease of adjustment. Before I sit down to eat, I can easily loosen it, and when I'm going to be walking around, I can tighten it back up without any hassle. This level of flexibility is something I didn't know I needed until I had it. Conclusion Overall, this belt is a fantastic addition to any wardrobe. Its combination of durability, style, and practicality makes it worth every penny. If you're looking for a high-quality belt that can handle daily wear and still look great, this is the one to get.

Solid Belt
This belt is a mixed bag. I’m seriously overweight, and there are some aspects of this belt that don’t work well for me personally, but overall, I still find it is generally superior to more traditional cloth/leather belts. Good stuff: The webbing seems durable with no discernible stretch. When it is tightened, it stays tight, and it doesn’t roll even under my substantial girth. On first glance, the ratcheting/latching mechanism looks like it is going to be uncomfortable, but I was surprised by how little I felt. The underside of the buckle didn’t cut into me, and it was only after more than seven hours of slouching forward at my desk that I noticed my belly was getting a sore spot from the top of the buckle. It is hard to describe, but my point is that I had been wearing it for weeks and hadn’t noticed anything until that point. It is way more comfortable than it looks. The buckle has a tension release lever that makes it easy to quickly remove the belt, even when you realize you’ve had too many beers and nuts and need a fast visit to the nearest toilet. Lastly, in spite of having no particular mechanism to grab onto, the ratcheting mechanism holds securely (with a caveat below) Not so good: The release mechanism can be triggered by the zipper area on your jeans (mine, anyway). This can be overcome by adjusting the buckle of the belt left or right or “center”. My belly mostly conceals where “center” is, but on someone else it might look a bit odd. Then again, if you lack the big belly to mask the buckle, maybe you won’t have such a hard time with the release either. The only other sort of negative mark is that the loose end of the belt goes behind the secure part of the belt. This is one of those things that is probably more of a problem for me than for someone who has more of a butt or is simply in better shape. For me, it can be hard to get as much tension as I would like, and then having achieved that tension, it can be hard to get the loose end tucked in. Even though it can be a bit uncomfortable and require more than one attempt, the smaller increments of adjustment make it a lot easier to get the belt, “just a little tighter.” I think my ideal version of this belt would be a similar design, but one where the loose end lays atop the tightened belt and it would have some clever way of protecting the release mechanism without making it noticeably more difficult to release the belt. I love that there isn’t a tension adjustment “region” like there is on another belt for which I’ve seen ads. I have hopes of losing at least some of my weight, and I like the idea that I don’t need to worry about either outgrowing or un-growing tot he point that this belt will have to be replaced for those reasons.

If you're looking for a belt, congrats, you found one. At first I'm not sure what to review but then I remembered a really cheap $5 belt I bought a little while ago. It turned out to be made from compressed cardboard... So with that thought in mind. This belt is really well made. The material is sturdy and while I won't test it I wouldn't be surprised if I could use it to tow my car. The buckle is solid and really holds the position. It's really easy to put on and is quite comfy. It's a little big for me though, but I knew that would be when I bought it and will at some stage shorten it, but even then it fits around the waste so comfy and tucks away that I don't even notice. At the end of the day, it's a belt and does a good job of keeping my pants from fraternizing with my ankles.

Check the sizing chart. Their medium starts way too big at 36 inches

This is an excellent belt except that the black powder coating on the buckle scratches very easily. I have been very careful with this belt as it's an expensive product but despite this the buckle has scratched which I believe for such a product should not happen. As the buckle is very visible and the product is designed for very practical use this should not happen. Replacing the buckle would be difficult so a replacement of the whole belt would be required to fix the problem. I would like a comment from the manufacturer please. Thank you, Mike.
