Great Classic Toy
My grandson literally lit up when he got this for Christmas (it has an LED lighting circuit with a centrifugal clutch that turns it on when the yo-yo is spinning.) Balance is good, the string is first rate cotton, and I find it easy to show my tricks to my grandson. A good, classical gift.

Appealing LED lights, and great for tricks!
Bought this as a stocking stuffer at Christmas for my girlfriend. We're kids stuck in adult bodies. It's smooth, easy, and fun, for beginners and experienced alike. The two hemispheres come apart for easy access to the string if tangling occurs. An extra battery is provided if the battery to the LED lights should die. The ball bearing axle keeps the yo yo spinning well while in the down position, so tricks like "rock the baby" and "walk the dog" are done with ease. I did both tricks easily without having done them before. My girlfriend is from the Philippines (where the yo yo was invented), and can do more intermediate tricks. She puts heavy use on it and it's holding up fine. We leave it out, and everyone who stops in will pick it up and have a go at it. I love that it lights up. It gives tricks a little extra kick, and makes outdoor use that much more fun (in the evening). There were a couple of downfalls, but nothing serious regarding the yo yo's operation. If I were a 12 year old, instead of an adult, I would be VERY unhappy that it came in a transparent yellow, and not the clear plastic. It still looks cool, so no big deal. But, if I were 12, I would be down right angry about one side of the yo yo not lighting up. I changed the battery, however, it seemed to be a defect in a metal piece that wasn't completing the circuit to the battery. If we held it in place, it worked. The defect is nothing to worry about, Duncan makes good yo yos and I have never bought a defected one in the past. Even now, the defect doesn't affect the performance, and I could of had it replaced if I cared enough to. It gets a lot of use, and praise. We will be buying another when this one puts its best days behind it.

Fun toy for my grandkids.
This is a fun yo-yo, the first I've used in half a century. Yoyos of olde were wood and never had lights, but the lights are a great addition, as is the ball bearings spinner that keeps it spinning longer than the old ones. For the price, this is a great toy. I look forward to fighting with my grandson over who's going to play with it. As an afterthought, I bought a pack of replacement strings because the string needs to be trimmed shorter for little people (grandpas need longer ones) and because yoyo strings eventually get twisty knots in them and need to be replaced. UPDATE. I gave the yoyo to my grandson at the Thanksgiving 2018 gathering and was bemused to find how much his father, other grandfather, and other adults played with it. You definitely need the extra strings (Duncan-brand come in a pack with multiple colors) but I found you also need a SECOND YOYO so you can play it "with" the child at the same time, that is, so you can demonstrate and do tricks on yours, with your long yoyo string, at the same time the child learns to use it with his shorter one. The lights change colors and are brighter and more impressive when the yoyo spins at higher speeds, and they dim-out at low, whimpy speeds. You need to operate it competently for the lights to dazzle at maximum advantage. I found a number of very good instructional yoyo videos on YouTube that contain useful beginner tips and tricks ("walk the doggie", "rock the baby", etc.) and recommend checking them out yourself before demonstrating the yoyo to a child. It's better for them to be impressed, rather than you be embarrassed. Discard the packaging beforehand. View the videos and practice with it beforehand. Hand it to the child out of your pocket rather than out of the package. Bigger fun that way . . .

Great yoyo
Great yo-yo for kids and adults too. Much better than the cheaper Duncan yoyo bought earlier.

Addictive!
This may be for use by those of intermediate skill, but you may as well skip the Duncan Limelight (said to be for beginners) and get this. Its worth the few extra bucks. They're identical, except the Pulse will sleep MUCH longer than the Limelight because it has metal bearings. The LEDs on both are very bright and quite dazzling, and the batteries are cheap to replace and last for quite a while. Once you get started with it, it's tough to put down!

Better and cheaper vs Yomega Spectrum. Careful opening it!
It doesn't sleep as well as my yomega fireball, but it sleeps and returns better than my yomega spectrum (it's light-up competitor), and the spectrum was $5 more. It also looks cooler because of the neon sides and string. The battery life is better in the spectrum, though. Another advantage of the pulse is that the width is adjustable, and it stays together better than the yomegas, because it uses a nylox nut on the axle. The yomega design uses a standard nut, which can come loose when doing important tricks like the stomp-up. The yomega nut is also smaller, so it is vulnerable to deforming the plastic around it if you try to tighten it too much. This means you never know if it's tight enough to stay together, or if you should tighten it further and risk breaking the Yomega. The nylox nut in this Pulse is a much better design because it grips the bolt/axle without relying on pure torque (twisting force). One disadvantage of the Pulse is that it has five tiny parts that come falling out all over the floor whenever you unscrew the two halves for maintenance, but if you're careful, they won't fall. The spectrum has only one plastic bearing that stays attached to the string, so there's less worries there.

Esta hecho de material ligero y resistente, gira y funciona muy bien.

Yoyo is imbalanced and always tiltied to the left. Also can't stay spinning, and always roll back after releasing the yoyo. So, can't do any yoyo trick.
