Great bit of kit - I feel liberated working when standing up!!
Well built if a tad expensive.Don't think its as totalitarian looking as people comment - not beautiful from the side, more functional looking. Its pretty big so make sure you have enough desk space and clearance. I have a Dell 34" curved monitor on it which I guess is around the stated weight limit, but have no issue raising/lowering the platform. Unlike some I didn't really have an issue wit the keyboard/mouse cables - I just dropped them over the top of the rear bar where they join the monitor cables and wrapped them in black plastic spiral cable tidy. They then all drop down the back of the desk and rise/fall with the platform as a single cable unit. I purchased this as I spend long hours sitting at my home office desk and became aware of just how unhealthy this is. I have to say I find standing and working quite liberating and love it. I probably spend more time standing now than I do sitting. I do quite a few webex meetings/presentations and when standing gives more of a feeling that you are actually presenting to an audience!

Exactly what I was looking for.
Excellent purchase. I've been thinking about using a stand up desk for some time (20+ years of sitting in slumped positions has caused severe neck/back issues in recent years.) I wanted a device I could raise and lower at will, this one looked perfect for me - and it is! It is a heavy piece of kit and I'm glad I had someone to help me get it into position on my desk and it takes up quite a bit of space on your work space so a sturdy and relatively large desk is required. Once in place, the Varidesk is very easy to raise and lower. I'm not tall (5' 7") so the product provides the perfect working position for me. I'd imagine anyone blessed with more height might find they are looking down a lot, but I can type and keep my head in an upright position when standing which is what I wanted.

I couldn't love this more. Amazing quality, easy to install and easy to use!
I couldn't love this more! It comes ready to use, so totally assembled. Super easy to transition from the lowest to the highest level, and in just 1 second.

Does what it claims, but may not be really suitable if your workspace is limited
It enables me to use my computer standing up or sitting down and to change between these two positions quickly and easily. However, when in the fully upright position it projects rather a long way out from my desk which is not very convenient in a limited workspace.

Impressive desk, impressive service
This desk is great - goes up and down like a dream, sturdy and I know it will last a long time. The service from Varidesk is out of this workld too - I accidentally ordered 2 because of an (alarming) issue with Amazon retrying declined cards - I ordered again. Varidesk were quick, clear, communicative, helpful and paid for my return, which was picked up from my house ASAP. Very impressed.

Outstanding piece of extremely-well put-together office kit.
Had to adopt use of this due to back problems that meant a standing desk was better for my spinal (& (it turns out - general) health. The Varidesk is extremely well-built, but therefore very heavy (40kg; around 88lbs). It's realistically a 2-man job to get it into position (unless you're looking for hernia-induced time off!). It's adjustable to practically any desktop height needs; and built like the the proverbial brick outhouse. It does, however, need a very robust surface on which to stand, and about 24" (about 60cm) of uncluttered desktop space behind it for stable installation. You also need to think carefully about cable routings; so you don't sever any when the desktop is dropped to its lowest setting. Also downloadable from the Varidesk website is a piece of software that reminds you to stand up for 15min after every 45min seated. Overall highly recommended.

Great for standing and sitting pc use. Easy to fit. Very easy to move up and down
Bought two of these inmy office now for team members who have back problems aniseed to regularly stretch. Recommend the pro plus 30 rather than pro 30 as the plus one allows the keyboard and mouse stand to move up to standing height along with the monitor. Fits easily on a full size desk. Doesn't need fittings / screwing in or anything so didn't need anyone to fit it. Quite heavy as an item so help needed to.put oldest but those with back problems can lift from sit to stand with two fingers and no effort as spring weighted. This model was recommended by professional medical occupational health company and I would second that, as would both people in my team now using them daily

I had been wanting to try a standing desk for a while now, but the thought of replacing my entire desk setup at my work office was daunting. Enter the VariDesk Pro Plus 30, a fantastic solution that converts my existing desk into a standing desk in seconds. It's sturdy, easy to use, and has made a noticeable difference in my workday comfort. Here's what I love about it: Effortless Transition: Going from sitting to standing is a breeze. The spring-assisted lift mechanism is smooth and requires minimal effort. I can adjust the height in seconds, finding the perfect position for both sitting and standing. Sturdy and Stable: Even at its highest setting, the VariDesk feels incredibly stable. There's no wobbling or shaking, even when I'm typing vigorously. This is crucial for someone like me who values a solid, distraction-free workspace. Spacious Work Surface: The two-tier design provides ample space for my laptop, mouse, and even a notebook. I appreciate having a dedicated space for my keyboard and mouse, which helps maintain good ergonomics. Improved Posture and Focus: Since using the VariDesk, I've noticed a significant improvement in my posture and focus. Being able to switch between sitting and standing throughout the day keeps me energized and helps prevent that afternoon slump. Easy Assembly (or Lack Thereof!): It arrived fully assembled and ready to go. I simply took it out of the box, placed it on my desk, and started using it. No complicated instructions or tools required. A Minor Quibble: While I'm delighted with the VariDesk overall, I echo a common critique I've seen in other reviews: the keyboard tray can feel cramped, especially if you have a larger keyboard or prefer more mouse space. This hasn't been a dealbreaker for me, but it's something to consider if you prioritize a lot of keyboard and mouse real estate. Overall: If you're looking for an easy and effective way to incorporate standing into your workday, the VariDesk Pro Plus 30 is an excellent choice. It's a well-made, user-friendly solution that has transformed my workspace and improved my overall well-being. Just be mindful of the keyboard tray size if you need a lot of space for your keyboard and mouse.

If you have a heavy monitor, this desk may feel slightly unstable at the top of its lifting range. My monitor is 25lbs. Also, the desk itself is quite heavy (nearly 50 lbs) and I had to add support under my table - but that is part of the reason why it does stabilize the monitor. It doesn't stop exactly where you lift it to - it needs to find a "notch" to lock into (the specs say 11 positions). So it feels like there is some play when adjusting the height to your exact preference. Then again, if my monitor weren't so heavy, I might not even notice. BTW, I work standing most of the time (hours at a stretch) and I use an XL - Anti-Fatigue Pad for Ankles & Knees for Physical Exercise/Balance ... just a heads-up, use an anti-fatigue mat to save your joints. The desk lifts high enough that I can use a Stamina Inmotion Elliptical while standing to watch webinars ;) I looked a lot of desks before settling on this one: I needed something that would be easy to maneuver, give a flexible height choice, and support my monitor. An additional bonus: no assembly needed - just took it out of the box. If you are small, you might have a friend handy to lift it and place it. Consider the width of your desk when setting it up: *In the back, there are 2 metal bars (the lifts) that extend slightly behind the desk when it is all the way down * The directions tell you that when the desk is all the way down, the edge of the keyboard stand should not extend beyond the table - this is important info if you are going to work standing because the desk lifts up and OUT and bring the weight of the monitor to the edge of the front and will feel unstable - if you have a heavy monitor.

This is a great product. It came with a small dent on the rear edge of the "top shelf" but I don't care because I don't see it and it doesn't impact anything. It's constructed with a combination of plastic and metal, but it feels heavy and solid. There is some wobble, but I think that's more an issue with monitor, which wobbled on my desk before I put it on top of this converter. And to avoid wobble, I think they'd have to make this heavier, which would make it worse to deal with. It's about 50 pounds and I was worried that my desk might not be able to handle a heavier unit (some are like 100 pounds). Arriving assembled is almost worth the price alone. I was set up in a few minutes. This is a game changer. If you need to use a mouse all the time but also want a full size keyboard to be perfectly centered, what you're going to want is to add some kind of "extender" for the mouse that clamps onto the side. Or you're going to want a bigger standing desk converter, like the 36 or more. But that adds a lot of width for no reason in my opinion, especially if you just have a single monitor. I don't use a mouse a lot. I'm a typist. So I just keep the mouse on the "top shelf" that the monitor sits on. Works fine. I'm excited to work on my documents while feeling like the Maestro of an orchestra LOL. And I'm sure my posture and back will thank me over time.

I purchased one of these about two years ago for my work office. Now that I'm working mostly from home (COVID-19), I wanted one for my home desk, also. Works great, easy to use. I can raise or lower it in a couple seconds, with modest effort. Wide enough for a full-sized keyboard and mouse pad, plus enough space for a small pad and pencil to the left, on the lower level. This size is not suited to two monitors on the upper level, so if you are using two monitors, or need other space-eating accessories to the sides of your monitor, I suggest you look at a wider model. Very easy to raise and lower. It is quite deep and so not good if you have a shallow work surface - confirm the measurements. It also comes up and out as one raises it, so there cannot be too much above your work surface, such as shelves or a monitor bracket. No provision for cable management (they do include a couple velcro bands, but nothing that anchors the cables to the platform). I sometimes have an issue with cables being pulled out, or speakers being pulled off the back of the shelf, etc. when I raise the platform. This is a minor issue and one for which I've improvised some solutions, but it is my one minor gripe in an otherwise great product. As I said, I liked the first one enough to buy it again for home.

I did not want to buy a whole new desk to start standing, so I hesitantly gave this a try. I am pleasantly surprised/thrilled with how sturdy it is, and that even though it is so sturdy it is also very easy to maneuver. I like the different height options as well. I wasn't expecting it to hang over my 30" desk since it says it was 30 inches wide, but it does. The "feet" are solidly on my desk, but the keyboard tray hangs over a few inches. At first I was a little ticked, but then I sat down and used it. Of course it needs to hang over a bit and it makes complete sense and comfort. This is the perfect standing solution for a sitting desk, and even when you are sitting it's a great "desk". I like the extra room available for things like my phone, calculator, glasses, whatever to be right there even when I'm standing.
