Love these amps!!! I've had them in 4 different cars over time and yes 4 different style amps. Had an issue with one but they warranted it and sent out a new one pretty quick. Perfect punch for subs and great tone for door speakers

A coworker installed this amp in my 05 4 runner on 3/26/15-it is bridged at 4 ohm on a rockford fosgate pl3-210 enclosure. I had nothing but smiles on my face on the drive home yesterday! I cranked it up on the 52 freeway and got into some distortion, adjusted bass levels today after doing some research. The bass boost was just under half, i turned it all the way down but increased the input sensitivity a little bit, it sounds much better with more controlled low frequency( it sounded cleaner and i could really crank it up) The amp came with a bass remote but seemed to lack control. I had a pac brand remote i had on hand, we switched btween the supplied unit and the pac, we found the pac was much more resposive, the stock one is not being used. Overall i love having bass after not having it for 13 years. I will do more tuning and will keep this updated, im very happy with this purchase!

I've had one of these for years. Highly under rated. This has enough power to push those subs you got from the swap meet enough to drop underwear from a block away. Wanna hook up the drivers from grandma's speaker cabinets? No problem. You got one of those big quadruple bandpass monsrosities from the 90's that has more plexiglass than the check cashing place down the way? Hook it up.... but just make sure you got an alarm on your ride, because every jacker in the zip code is gonna come looking for that bass.

Wattage is simple math, Voltage times Amperage = wattage. This Amplifier has 2x 40 amp fuses, 80x12=960. This is a maximum of 960 watts before it blows its own fuses using a standard car battery. That would put RMS somewhere around the 125w range. I would much rather have real numbers at 12v, not some silly made up number using a 20v power source.... Still for the price its a great amplifier, just not for pounding some 10's. Use for 4 6x9's, component systems or bridged for 8" or low power 10" subs.

The first unit I ordered was the 1600 and arrived DOA, which was frustrating. The unit was returned and upon return I was notified of a longer then normal wait for a replacement. I then decided to cancel the complete order and do a re-order of the 2400 Watt model since the 1600 had too long of a wait to receive. After receiving the new 2400, I went right out to check the workings. I am thankful that this unit does work and installed it roughly for the test. I still have to hide wires and mount the unit, I just hope it doesn't have any failures during the install. The power really doesn't seem to be at 2400 Watts, but I think it will be ok since I am not one to make myself go deaf from listening to it. Plus, having installed in a little 2 seater MR2 could be overkill for a unit of such wattage. I guess I am happy with the final outcome and it does work at the time of this review. Now I hope it has some years ahead to make my ears and wallet happy. Only time will tell.

Amp worked great for a couple of weeks paired with 4 6x9 hifonics zues series. Channel four goes in and out when it wants to and its very annoying. i have tried changing the speaker, rewired completely from amp to the door. took the head unit out to ensure all wire connections were good and had no issues. changed which speaker is connected to the fourth channel and still it always cuts off and on. Might try this brand again in the future but i will more than likely be going with a different brand to solve this issue.

I purchased this amplifier a couple months ago from Amazon, I was unsure due to the price and the varying reviews about Planet Audio as a whole, but I must say this amp performs great! If anyone is wondering as I was, it is fused at 2 x 25 amp fuses, I've got the gain all the way down so I have not attempted to get max output from this amp but it definitely performs well. I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely buy Planet Audio again!

I purchased this to power 4 Infinity Reference speakers after completely replacing the system in my Pontiac G6. It came with the required wiring hardware (spade connectors, mounting screws, etc.) Its SNR is significantly lower than my that of my JVC head-unit. There is no noticeable static or humming with the system at low volume, where there was with the stock "premium" Monsoon system. This amp has two gain controls (two channels on each) and high and low pass filters. Since it is so powerful (1300 watts RMS), I do not need to have the gain set very high to get a lot of volume. This amp fits neatly under my rear window deck between the rear speakers and does not interfere with loading or unloading of the trunk. There is no thump when powering the amp on or off either.

This is a very good amplifier I recommend it.
