Very happy with this sun hat. It’s well made and provides great coverage, especially at the back of the neck which helps protect from the sun. It’s also easy to fold and carry in a bag, making it perfect for travel. Plus, it looks stylish and comfortable to wear.

Love, love, love this hat. Got it for a vacation to Mexico & wore it constantly to protect my face. I could put my hair up in a bun, a clip, or ponytail & wear this hat. Plus, it comes with a optional clip-in adjustable chin strap that prevented losing it on a breezy beach, without looking dorky. The back is cutaway so you can recline on a lounger without ruining the brim. It's so nice, I've been wearing it on walks & out in the yard instead of a ball cap now that I'm home. Cute! I got khaki & may get another color.

This hat is perfect! It rolls to pack nicely and shades my shoulders and face perfectly. I use mine at Disney so I can wear my ears AND have sun protection. Seems durable so far- I have rolled it up and packed it a few times and it’s super easy to put on. My mom even bought one after seeing mine and loves it.

The hat is great. Used it in Japan in July. Helped keep me cool and the sun off my face. The only thing I didn’t like was that the back brim would hit my back and it would scratch. The hat is beautifully made and travels well. I think it’s just a me issue.

This beach hat is awesome! I love that it has a hole in the back for my ponytail — it’s such a simple feature but makes a big difference in comfort. Material seems ok, and stitching was ok, as far as I could tell for the short while it was out of the box. I’m disappointed that it doesn’t fit well at all. I have an average size head, and this is far too large. Even with the closure overlapped quite a bit, it would be too large for a “medium” hat. The gap in the back is also quite a bit wider than expected. Another, more minor, issue is that the elastic is black vs the color of the hat. In my opinion, it detracts from its attractiveness. If the hat had black trim, the choice of using black elastic wouldn’t seem out of place. However, with beige trim, it reads more like “what was available to use” vs it being a design choice. To be fair, the listing has both depicted in separate photos - one with black elastic and one with beige elastic, so there wasn’t a promise of elastic color. I have a similar hat from a different brand that fits well, but wanted one without a tie-able bow to wear while in the pool with child (tails sometimes get in the water with that one). Unfortunately, this one was not the solution. I’ve taken photos to compare/contrast the previously purchased hat (different brand) with this one, in the event a visual is helpful for others. Pics were difficult to take one-handed, so I hope they translate the comparison well enough. For photos with the closure fastened, the hook-and-loop pieces were perfectly aligned, so as to show accurate gap and for the purposes of exact comparison. I also overlapped this product (hat with beige trim) with the hat I already had (hat with black trim and ribbon tails) for size comparison. In one pic, you can appreciate how much “longer” the woven material is for the hat with beige trim (making it fit wider on the head). In another photo, the new hat (beige trim) and can be seen both above and below the overlapped hat (black trim), - just a tad longer in the brim and taller in the band - making it quite a bit larger than the one with black trim. They both show “medium” size, though I feel this one fits more like a “large.” In conclusion, if you’re someone with a larger head or lots and lots of hair, and you don’t mind the rather large gap in the back, this may be a good choice for you. As for me, I’ll be seeking either a different option, or maybe even another like I have, then cut off the ribbon tails.

writing on behalf of my other half (the lady of the house : ). This thing is awesome! Rarely do I get so excited about "things", but this ticks all the boxes. FIRST . . . it's very sensible. very broad rim for good coverage, but not in the very back. This allows room for all her hair to hang down, AND allows for freedom of movement of your head (you can look up, without the brim hitting your back and getting knocked out of position. SECOND . . . it's a visor! paired with the first feature, this allows ladies with lots of hair to either let it hang while wearing hat, or tying it up in some whatever fashion on top of their noggin. Awesome. PLUS . . . who needs a hat top (for those with full heads of hair) !? So it'll be cooler and more comfortable to wear. THIRD . . . it's bloody stylish! I know that perhaps that should be #1 for many, but I'm usually stoked when form FOLLOWS function. So this had is very functional, comfortable, and stylish. Bam! well done, whoever designed this thing! (now if only car manufacturers would learn to be so sensible. ugh)
