Worked on Honda Ridgeline lug
Fixed my 2007 ridgeline lug threads that apparently the tire shop messed up a bit. Started on back and worked to the front slowly. Use cutting oil and vice scrips and it will work.

Good quality, nice case and easy to use.
Received and used it the same day on two different cars. Lug nuts were hard to put on. Chose a good portion of the thread, attached the split die and used my impact wrench to go forward and back a few times on the affected wheel studs on both cars. Very easy to use. Bought some new lug nuts and I was good to go. Good kit for me to add to my arsenal. Good quality and nice case as well.

Money and time saver
So easy to chase treads on wheel studs, start from the back moving the die towards you, avoiding the need to replace the stud, saving time, money and effort,

it more or less did the job
Bought this to clean up the threads well enough on the lugs of my RV. First time the lug nuts have been off. The tool did clean them up well enough to improve putting the nuts back. I like the two-piece unit and the fact that you can use a standard 1 inch socket to work them. Wish I had obtained a standard die as well. But the tool helped. So I am good.

Works great
I was trying to remove my steering wheel. I backed off the nut, rapped on the nut with a hammer as an always do as to not mess up the threads on the post. Apparently , the nut was made out of super cheap metal and not only stripped, but embedded its threads onto the post. Looking like a $900 oh crap, I was about to slice open a die I had, then found this one, the $20 saved me some $$$.

DO NOT PURCHASE
I looked at reviews and they looked good; not sure if I got a defect but the product I got WILL NOT work in any instance what so ever. Threads don't line up on one end of the chaser when you put it together; to be clear there is only one way it'll go together. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY.

Great tool! I was putting my winter tires on and one of the lug bolts was cross threaded what a nightmare, I called around and it would be about $200 to fix so I decided to do some research on how to replace and found that I didn't want to mess around with moving brake parts just to get this out even though a new lug bolt is about $5. So went ahead and go this thread chaser and problem solved!

worked great to chase the threads on my Wheel studs after my son had a misshap changing the tire

I purchased the Thread chaser because when I last had my winter tires changed the tech forgot to tell me that a wheel stud was too rusty for him to put on the lug nut on, so after 6 months when I went back to have the summer tires put on , " sorry no can do stud is too rusted" about $100 to fix. I had a brass wire brush and a can of rust remover and this very good Thread chaser, job done. This is a very good product well worth the price, easy to use.

Helped me salvage wheel stud threads. Does come apart so pros and cons. Narrow profile. Takes 1" socket or adjustable depending on outside clearances. I'd probably look for a general purpose thread repair kit next time.

Used this to fix the threads on one of the wheel studs on my 2011 Kia Soul, wish I had purchased this to use before trying to fix the threads by hand. Needs a 1" wrench or socket to fit over the die.
