Yes, the English Breakfast tea is very bitter. I usually drink Twinnings. Going Back. The OLONG TEA in wonderful tho. I highly recommend that flavor in this brand. Tags come off the string very easy, so be careful unwinding it before placing in the hot water.

This is a great breakfast tea in the morning. I’m getting away from coffee. This has less wear on my stomach while having a nice flavor.

Inaccurate web descriptions....it says the tea is strog...I tried 2 bags for one mug ...it very light taste ....too bad...i just threw it in the trash...preferred not to return....I have to drive 5 miles to return....strongly NOT recommended...

I ordered these after searching for a good strong black tea. This tea was exactly what I was looking for, tastes great! Taste: Bold, full bodied

This is great tea! I drink tea with cream and sugar, and and with some tea that is all you taste. Not with this tea! It has a rich, full, not ever bitter flavor. I was pleasantly surprised to find the tea comes in sachets, usually only found with high end teas, which may be why it is so flavorful .

Well, they won't let me return it,so I guess I'll review it. I wanted a strong English breakfast tea for morning lattes as an occasional alternative to coffee. I had been using Trader Joe's English breakfast tea prior and liked it a lot, but wanted to see what else was out there. After reading several glowing reviews on r/tea about this brand's English breakfast I stupidly bought the box of 100 bags instead of being wise and getting a smaller package or a sampler to try first. The Trader Joe's English breakfast steeped almost as dark as coffee, this tea was weak/pale despite using 2 bags. When I pour in the frothed milk, there was almost no difference between the color of the froth and the liquid. And the taste was very citrusy and "light", none of the deep malty flavor of strong black tea. I suspect the blend is ceylon heavy. But I don't want a light and citrusy black tea, I have a London Fog blend for that. I wanted a deep, dark, slightly bitter black tea with a complex lingering aftertaste. So I'm out almost $30 and about to go to Trader Joe's and spend only $4 more on a box of 48 tea bags that I vastly prefer. What a waste of money this was.

As a drinker of strong tea and never coffee, I'm always on the lookout for good cup to get me going in the morning. You can smell and taste the distinct freshness of this Vahdam tea over the 'big tea name' competition. It's very smooth and robust and a joy to drink. The flavor is not quite the same as the finer grind tea bags, but it's a welcome distinction. Whole leaf joy!

However, it's far to strong for me. It made me feel ill after a few sips. I have given it 5 STARS, though because it's not about me. It's the company that's unique. It looks after the tea pickers and that's unusual in the world that we are in today. I will research the company what other tea they have. The may have Breakfast tea that's up to British tea lovers standard. This is very strong. I've never ever drank tea like this. Twice as strong as Yorkshire's!

Best English Breakfast I've found apart from getting more expensive looseleaf which starts to be diminishing returns. Found that Vadham was much nicer than the Taylors of Harrogate English Breakfast. And both are far better than Twinings.
