Sturdy, well designed and beautiful!
I ordered two 4’ planters. These looked amazing on arrival out of the box. Sturdy build. Liners are the perfect thickness and design. Setup took maybe 10 minutes total for both to get them hung. Most of that was attributable to my inability to center on sight. The drainage is exactly what’s needed, and there was a LOT of room to plant my flowers in the planters. Very happy with this purchase and will buy new liners next year and reuse the planters. 4.5 years after purchase, and these things only need a fresh coat of paint. These have been sitting in the elements everyday since I received them. I will buy more to put on the back of house!

Beautiful display
This trough is very sturdy and looks beautiful underneath my window. We did not use all of the brackets that came with it, instead we mounted the trough onto a masonry shelf using a part of the bracket, plastic anchors and masonry screws.

Planters look lovely on my porch
We mounted these on our deck rails and the brackets were perfect for the wood rails, standard 2X4. The planters once attached did sag a bit though, and it seemed like there was too much pressure on the rails once we got the dirt and plants in them, so we took some of the pressure off and straightened them up by placing a 2X4 between the planter and the vertical rails of our deck railing. The 2X4 stays there by itself. The 2X4 were just some old offcuts we had in the garage and they were just a bit smaller than the planter, so you can't really see them. It solved the problem. We didn't want to use zip ties as some have suggested as they would be too visible. My plants love the planters, my geraniums are still going strong and honestly did better in these planters than the old wood planters we had before.

Included mounting hardware didn’t work, but came out nice regardless
Had to mount directly to the window but it still worked out

Decent planter. Beware inconsistencies buying multiple.
I've purchased 5 of the 48" size to span a longer section of deck railing. The hanging brackets would not work for my deck, but the mounting hardware is not fixed to the planter, so I could easily flush mouth to my deck railing with lag screws like http://www.amazon.com/Spax-4571820700500--2-Inch-Corrosion-Resistant/dp/B000I66YO2 (I bought mine at Home Depot for $0.37 each). I chose these fasteners for their corrosion resistance and weight capacity. The good: These look nice, and the liners are molded to fit the shape of the planter. The planter is flush, so they can be used flexibly even if the supplied hardware doesn't work for you. I'm happy with the purchase. The not-so-good: I give 3 stars because of the inconsistencies in the product. I bought mine over two orders only 2 weeks apart. The first shipment of one was to determine if these planters would be a good fit. The first planter had good build quality. The joints were smooth and durable. The paint/finish was thick enough to give the impression of weather resistance. My only concern was that the size of the item made these prone to slight bending during shipping. I probably would have given 4 or 5 stars. The second order of 4 was made after I was initially satisfied. When these showed up, it was clear that they were not built to the same quality standards. The joints were inconsistent, and 2 of the 4 planters had failed joints where the side flat iron had come loose from the base metal. The paint/finish was thinner, and doesn't seem like it would hold up as long.

A Good Value
This is a nice size and shape for a deck rail planter, holds plenty of soil for annuals to thrive. The coco fiber liner is a bit thin in places but not a problem since before filling with soil, I line the inside with lawn bags punctured here & there to retain moisture, reduce flow-thru draining, and to get a few extra seasons out of the liner. The customer comments regarding the rail clamp are correct, they don't fit my railing either but I just used heavy duty, wide, thick zip ties to attach it to the railing. BTW this item has increased in price $12-$13 since I purchased it. It is less on the seller's website.

YES, you can mount on a wall
Wanted to put up this review to show that you can mount these on a wall or directly to your house. Just dont use the included brackets. The brackets connect to the preexisting screw mounts in the back. I used a masonry bit and my lithium ion drill (not a hammer drill). Each hole took about 10 minutes of elbow grease. After that, I used tapcon screws, mounted the baskets and finished tightening. All in all, the boxes look great especially for the price. Fyi, mounting screws are NOT included so you'll need to buy them from a hardware store ($.35 each).

Have wanted a window box for my front window and this is perfect! With the help of my neighbour, we hung it with a 1x4 plank as backing, because there is stacked stone on my house. This gave a flat surface to attach it to. Verrry long locking screws. So pretty now full of flowers and trailing vines.

So pleased with this, great looking window / balcony box. Good clear instructions with it, and the wing nuts, fasteners you do need a piece of wood though, so everything locks into the wood, very strong. And wood very strong to wall. Very happy with it, and the look of it.

Ordered as window box, came with attachments for fencing which confused me a little, but attached to the wall below the window sill and it looks great, I sprayed the inner with black spray paint which looks great.

One of the supports was not attached to the main frame. Looks cheap. Would not recommend.

Looks good but not very well built or finished, paint scratched, some welds had come apart. Serves it purpose!
