what is this made out of

I'm not sure who said this was made out of silicone, but they must have a different one than is pictured here. Mine is definitely not silicone, which is a rubber consistency. Mine is more like laminated paper. Totally flexible and very thin. I looked all over the entire box and didn't see a description anywhere though.

Q: Can the dough be cut using a pastry wheel on this mat?

Havn't try that yet but I am sure you can if you don't press to hard

Has anyone tried sticky (gluten free) pastry pie dough? Does the dough slide off or stick? Thanks

Honestly, this matt is not worth the money. It is just a flimsy, nearly paper thin matt. Think a piece of paper with clear contact paper on both sides. Not stiff at all. I thought is would be a good work space for baking. Not the case. I sent it back almost immediately. I'm generally a fan of Wilton's products, this particular product is the exception. I hope thus helps.
