Enjoyable soap opera
There is a charming lack of political correctness in some French films, a kind of throwback to simpler times. Here it is suggested that all the troubled central character, Nathalie, needs to get her life back on track is regular swimming and a bit of sex.The film's best bits are those which depict the tensions between mother and daughter.A lightly comic movie that retains interest throughout.

excellent comedy
Nathalie (Karin Viard), a middle-age teacher going through a rough patch after divorce, gradually manages to alienate everybody around her but eventually gets through. Viard' is brilliant in her portrayal of the jealous and volatile character.

Excellent acting and a superb script... I just love the way french films depict the human nature in a way which is funny and at the same time poignant. They just have that "je ne sais quoi"

A good French Drama
Difficult to watch at first as the principal actress is such a horror. Full of meanest and spite. I must admit I wanted her to be run over. But it was also so very true, we know people who act and react inappropriately.Poignant, and thoughtful too. The ballet dancing was also good too.

Funny and Painful
This is a great watch. Beautifully filmed as I find so many of these French movies I have discovered on Prime. The acting is superb. I am sure we have all met people who are similarly bitter

drama about a middle age woman
like many French movies, this one tells the story of very well observed ups and downs of middle age, a divorced woman who struggles with her life due to her hormonal imbalance... how very true in women's life of certain age.
