Gardena Watering Control Master: Automatic and time-saving watering, 6 schedules, LCD display, Water Now function, Safe-Stop (1892-20)

Excellent timer there works with my Gardina 6-way automatic water distributor. Fairly easy to use; takes a bit of getting used to, but you get used to it and does a great job. Good price.

This was a replacement unit for my Gardena micro drip system, the old one failed, this one works just as the previous unit

I thought this product was going to be perfect for what I needed. Paired with the 6-point water distributor I could water all zones of my garden automatically and never have to worry about my beds drying up again. Not quite! Here are the pros and cons. Pros: With one exception (see cons) the unit really feels like a quality device Waters up to 6 zones Water on demand button (including an independent timer for this) Programmable rain break function Looks smart Cons: Main one... yes you can programme 6 zones but these are all once per day :( I really wanted something where I could water a bit in the morning and a bit in the evening but I have to choose now just once a day. Worried about over-watering as a result and may have to still get out there with a hose pipe as a result. The unit feels a little loose in place - it may be how I have fitted it but can't seem to get it any tighter. Not sure of battery life. The 9V battery is now on one bar and has only been in 2 months. Also need to consider exposure to frost in the winter, but I do intend on storing most of my irrigation system for the winter.

NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE!! I have bought 2 of the water controllers in the last 2 years and both have started to leak heavily from the top of the housing. I have been told by Gardenda this is due to Frost Damage. There is No warning this will break if exposed to Frost. Really poor product without adequate Warnings!

My experience with the Gardena Watering Control Master has been far from satisfactory. To put it bluntly, the software associated with this product is slow, laggy, and downright buggy. The primary purpose of a device like this is to provide efficient control over your watering system, but unfortunately, it fails in this regard due to its software issues. The user interface is clunky and unresponsive, often causing delays in setting up watering schedules or making adjustments. It's baffling that in this day and age, a product meant to simplify garden care can be so frustrating to use. The lag in response time is particularly infuriating. There are instances when I would input a command, only to wait an excruciating amount of time for the device to register and execute it. This is not only inconvenient but also defeats the purpose of having an automated watering system. Furthermore, the software is plagued with bugs. I've encountered instances where the system failed to accept any user input. In summary, the Gardena Watering Control Master, falls short due to its slow, laggy, and buggy software. It's frustrating to use and unreliable in its performance. I would strongly advise potential buyers to consider alternative options with more reliable and user-friendly software, as this product has left me thoroughly disappointed.
