For young Sheldon Cooper, being a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science isn't always helpful in East Texas. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naïve Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him. His father struggles as a high school football coach and father to a boy he doesn’t understand. Sheldon's mother fiercely protects her son who just doesn't fit in. Sheldon’s older brother does the best he can in high school, but he’s also in the same classes with Sheldon. Sheldon’s twin sister remains the one person who can reliably tell Sheldon the truth. And his beloved Meemaw, his Texas grandmother who supports him and his gifts. For over a decade, Big Bang Theory audiences have come to know the iconic, eccentric and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. Now meet him as he embarks on his innocent, awkward journey toward the man he will become. Review: A great second season - The second season of Young Sheldon (which also aired concurrently with BBT's final season) provided more character development, fleshed out storylines for all the characters (even if just for an episode or two), and brought the show solidly into the "dramedy" category with a lot of touching and even sad moments. It also expanded the cast making Wallace Shawn a major recurring character (almost a series regular) and brought in Mckenna Grace as a recurring rival child-genius to Sheldon. I will not go too into storylines, but we did see moments referenced on the BBT (like Sheldon trying to build a nuclear reactor to power the neighborhood), and in the season finale a very touching scene with the BBT characters as children. For those who get the blu-ray set, it is a basic MOD set. No extras of any kind. Just the episodes, which do have English captions (which can be hit and miss on MOD sets). So, if you only get the physical discs when there are a lot of extras, then you will probably just want to stream this. Overall, the show continues to be very good, and definitely not a carbon copy of BBT. Ian Armitage continues to make the character of Sheldon his own while doing a great job at giving glimpses of Jim Parson's version of Sheldon. Review: Young Sheldon complete 2nd season - Sheldon meets a smarter slightly younger female super genius. of course he doesn't handle it well. They run into each other later and get in trouble. Sheldon and Missy take a research study on twins. Sheldon runs for class president and A LOT of his normal crazy adventures. Like season 1 this show is just incredible and nonstop fun..

I was pleasantly surprised to find how entertaining this series is
Years-long fan of Big Bang and continue to watch the Fox reruns every day, so it's a real treat to see the crazy Sheldon in his young formative years. I hope it lasts several seasons but I'm finding season 3 is disappointing - enough already about Meemaw and her goofy boyfriends! They need to get back on script and make it about SHELDON. I love big George, Georgie, Missy, and especially the Sparks family (they are hilarious!) as is Pastor Jeff. He's kinda like the Barney Fife of Andy Griffith and he makes me laugh out loud every time he appears.

Perfect
When I first opened the package one disc was lose and looked terrible. It seemed to have large scratched all over it. They didn't go away when I wiped them so I thought they really were scratches and I thought I was going to have to return it. Since I had nothing to lose I wiped it with some pressure with a soft cloth and they wiped away. I watched the whole disc and it played with no problems. Just something to consider if you get a disc that looks messed up. Happy with my purchase (this is the item that is sold and shipped through Amazon)

Very funny, without the constant whining of the grown-up Sheldon.

With Big Bang gone, watching Young Sheldon is my new to go show. As I also have an eidetic memory and have Aspergers, it's nice for people to see how I was the same growing up... it's just funnier to see on DVD. Great gift, great price!

An interesting continuation of The Big Bang Theory's story, told from the perspective of a young Sheldon Lee Cooper as he moves forward toward the character that we all know as an adult. It's fun to see the young version of Missy and Georgie, as well as Mary, Meemah and, of course George Sr. The other characters add to the story so we don't just see things strictly from Sheldon's view. All of these characters are played by strong actors who make this a truly enjoyable experience.
