Communication Systems

Book quality is good compared to the price u spend. Texts are clear and print quality is good too. This is quite important book for those who want to built a solid foundation on communication systems. The book is comprehensive and includes all the important communications related terms, terminologies and definitions. Love this book. Recommend this to undergrad students who want to move forward their carrier in comm field.

I'm using this book for my classes and sometimes the material seems to be out of order (as in, certain chapters would be better in different areas) but it is otherwise a very good book and describes the material better than my teacher. I like that it does so in such a small number of pages, but I think some topics needed a bit more explanation.

Saved $150.00 on this book. Condition is used but book looks brand new. I waited until after the beginning of the semester "book rush". Rental only cost me $16.00. Will only rent my books here!

I used this book as a supplemental resource for a communications class. The material is explained very clearly, specially when it comes to the various forms of signal modulation and demodulation. However, I wish that it provided some more examples as some of the sections seem a bit rushed.

I really had a hard time studying from this book for the following reasons Topic and explanations: The topic is very complicated and so it is expected that the author will try to make it easier and appealing. But nothing of that happens. Examples: the examples given are insufficient and those given most of the time complicate more what you thought you understood about the topic. Problems. There is not even a small possibility to resolve any of the problems given at the end of each chapter with what you had read previously on them. Sub topics. Most of them do not have an explanation about their specific application. It seems this book was written for 1950’s student generation, not for millennials. Obviously the authors are scholars and they know everything about communication systems. But they need to improve their ability to write books considerably.

this is the 'international student version' which is why it's less expensive; i prefer hardcover which is why i didn't give 5 stars

I bought the paperback edition(Indian edition) of the book. It's really of bad quality. However, the original paperback edition is very good but it's not available anymore.
