Ateco 1301 Fondant and Icing Smoother,White,medium

I purchased this not so much for fondant smoothing, but for smoothing my cookies when they come out of the oven. It works perfectly for that, but I also use it so smooth the backs of my marshmallow fondant molds. It works well for that use. This is a simple tool, but works as designed. I highly recommend it.

I've seen this used for smoothing clay, and that's what I'll be using mine for. Sturdy!!

I use this to smooth out my sugar cookies after baking them to have a smooth surface for decorating. It is way better than using a flat frosting knife.

I work as a cake decorator and I ordered this to use for smoothing buttercream and it works great. I normally let the icing crust then use a smooth dry paper towel under the smoother. it also works to dampen (barely damp, not wet) the paper towel that you use under this if you don't have time to let the icing crust over. It creates a nice smooth surface quickly.

Needed to bake my first fondant covered cake over the weekend and purchased this based on reviews and price. It worked really well, and I'm happy I purchased it instead of a more expensive one. I might actually buy another so I can smooth the sides while keeping one on top of the cake for stability as I saw in a YouTube tutorial.
