Wow! I couldn’t be more impressed! I searched for the perfect sealer for a live edge outdoor art piece and this one ticked all the boxes: Goes on quick and easy, low/no odor, soap & water clean up, fast drying, non-yellowing and excellent waterproofing. The best part!? It lived up to all of my expectations! The only “negative” about this product (which was actually an amazing bonus) was the clip added to the top of the gallon to prevent leaking during shipping was on tight and took some muscle to remove!! Shipping was lightening fast too!! It did an excellent job in sealing the live edge of the wood and I anticipate it will preserve it for years!

Honestly, I didn’t know what to think. There are several negative reviews, several positive, which left me in a bit of a lurch. Do I risk it and potentially regret it, or will I be a lucky one? I went ahead and pulled the trigger and couldn’t be happier. I followed the directions to a “T”, bought the clear and then purchased the black tint separately. This stuff goes on like a dream. It’s is a bit watery, which the green painting tape didn’t completely guard against, but being water based made for pretty easy cleanup. I’ll try the upgraded paint block tape next time. We’ve had a hard rain today and this stuff had performed flawlessly. Water beads up and runs right off, the wood fibers seem very well protected/sealed, nothing to complain about as far as adhesion goes. Time will tell if it lives up to its stated duration. Honestly though, it goes on so easy and looks so good, I’m not opposed to having to reapply earlier if needed.

Used this to seal our cedar deck that I built. Goes on smooth, used a pump sprayer and then went over with a paint roller. Has a milky color when first applying and then dries clear. Applied two coats back to back. Deck is about 450 square feet and I used almost two gallons. Only complaint is the handle, I had one break off while pouring product in to my pump sprayer. Beads water like crazy and brings out the beautiful color of the wood. Smooth to walk on and very easy to clean once dry.

Great water sealer but white of paint shows through on deck when wet and deck surface is a bit sticky on hot days. However product repels water and takes a while for it to dry.

Im in central FL and had this playhouse in the elements for maybe 1 week with heavy rain twice. After leaving it to dry it really dried out the cedar. Always kept it covered and only 6 months old. Glad I sealed it because it did not come sealed. This was easy to use and not messy. A little runny but worked well with a regular brush. Was able to get 2 coats on quickly since it dried fast. Dried very smooth, no problems with bubbling unless I was trying to get in the small spots and they would brush right off after a few minutes. Finish is smooth, hope this lasts. Great price and value compared to others.

Had the worst possible experience with this. Follow the directions to a T. Applied the second coat as well, hoping to not have to cover the deck for 5-10 years.. It’s been months since the application. But after a rain, there’s this white milky substance on the top that comes out. If in the sun on a hot day, the product is extremely sticky as you’re walking, and if you have sandals on or sliding shoes, the shoes actually are like stuck in this goo. I did return the product. I did get my money back. But the company said spray the deck with water a couple times a day. It needs to cure. But if it’s a hot sunny day, and it has been at least two months, it just is a gooey sticky mess. So very disappointed. But at least the company gave us back our money, but I think the deck is ruined. And we did all this work to prep the deck and then coat the deck and it’s an absolute mess. Like I said, we got our money back. But on a cool day or not overly warm day, you might not stick to the deck. But on a hot day, it’s just like someone put glue all over the deck and you walk through it and just stick to it. We followed the instructions as directed and the second coat. Very sorry that we have nothing but a mess to deal with now and not even sure what to do. Since they gave us back our money, I’m not sure what else can be done. But will probably have to sand down the whole deck and apply some other product so that it’s water sealed. But I won’t be buying this again.

It isn't cheap but far less expensive than rebuilding or repairing my sea side deck. As an 80 year old when I say that it is easy to apply, it must be super easy. The twenty minute drying time between coats is a real boon; by the time you get to the end of the project with the first coat, you can immediately start applying the second without doing a clean-up. The salt ocean air and the rain from the Japanese current are tough on wood so a marine finish is the way to go.

I wasn't able to use the product because it was separated and unspreadable. It's probable due to wrong storage procedure but I had to return it.

great product. easy to apply and easy to clean up. used on 30 year old pressure treated wood deck and deck looks . stood up well over the winter. doesnt peel. just fades.

Used it this week on logs I had harvested from the sea at our cottage; so they are dried out and ready to use as fence posts, The 4" & 5" diameter (6'00" long) logs are now 2'00" into the ground where I hope this coating will last for another 30 years. The ones I replaced I had treated with creosote - now now available unfortunately, and was about 10% of the cost of this stuff ! I'm frankly not fully convinced that this stuff penetrated the wood in the way that creosote does. But I am 91 and probably wont know how long it does last !
