Speedo Unisex Swim Aqua Fitness Jogbelt

I've recently had back surgery that has resulted in a fairly long recovery time. I'm a 66-year old runner, and anxious to get back on the road, but I've been advised that I need to be very careful of any impact during my rehab, including too much walking. Many years ago I trained with a flotation belt, and thought it might be an acceptable workout to get my strength back without the impact my doctors were concerned about. I purchased the Speedo Aqua Fitness Jog Belt from Amazon (2-day free shipping with Prime!) and have been using it to build back my strength and stamina, and I'm delighted with my choice. As I said, I've used flotation belts before, and found that they have a tendency to slip up, no matter now tightly they're cinched. The Speedo one-piece belt can be cinched tight and it stays in place, allowing me to use it for 20 minutes of workout without having to adjust it. In other words, it stays put! I'm a bit surprised about those other reviews who stated they had trouble figuring out how to adjust the belt. Really? It comes out of the box with the strap threaded through the belt. The only "adjustment" is to tighten the strap, which works exactly like a seat belt on a plane. It should be tightened so that there is no way for the belt to move. If it's adjusted loosely, of course the belt would ride up and be uncomfortable. Pull the belt tight and you're all set! As I discovered years ago when I used a flotation belt for marathon training, this is no sissy's workout. You can work up a sweat, even if you're in the water. It's a great, low-impact way to get your workout, or to supplement your daily run. Having used other flotation products before, I can tell you this belt beats the ones made from 3 or 4 pods. Those slip and are difficult to get to fit properly. They're just plain uncomfortable! The Speedo Aqua Fitness Jog Belt is a really good design, something I'd expect from Speedo. I'm grateful I have something of this quality to complete my rehab period before I hit the road again, and I feel pretty confident that I'm going to add it as a permanent part of my workout.

Great flotation device—strong, sturdy, flexible and will keep you floating. It rides up a little from my waist. Provides safe and maximum flotation in deep water.

Really helps keep me afloat so I can get a good leg workout in the deep part of the pool.

This belt functions perfectly and adjusts to a wide variety of sizes. I use this for deep water jogging (aquajogging) for PT for knee injury. My only problem with these kind of belts in general (not this product specifically) is that they all ride up under your arm pits, which I find to be very uncomfortable. If someone makes one that has a strap to go between your legs, and hold it down, that would be much better (haven't seen one like that myself, yet). A pool noodle is equally effective (either around torso, under arms, or "sitting" on it like on a horse) and much cheaper. If you don't mind it riding up, then this is a great option!

It’s not the most comfortable. It’s pretty stiff and jabs into your ribcage. But, it works !

Worth paying the extra price for Speedo. I purchased a cheap brand, and unfortunately I got what I paid for. The discount models were sized for children and were flimsy. This water jogging belt is lightweight, but sized appropriately for an adult. I'm a fairly small woman, but suspect it would work well for a larger man as well.

Again it's made by SPEEDO so the quality is superb I still use for daily aerobics It's been through a pair of teething kittens, many many different pools, don't know how long I've had it yes if 6ou need to float in any depth of water you can doubt on thus an the belt has plenty of adjustment

I purchased this based on a review given by an adult woman who was unable to swim and wanted more confidence in the water. I was much the same. This belt allowed me to stay afloat and comfortable without the "wobble" that you get when trying to swim and stay in control. I feel secure in this! I wanted it so I could go snorkeling with my friends and feel confident. After putting this on within 30 minutes I was fining ALL OVER THE POOL to practice for our next trip. I purchased it used and honestly I would purchase a couple more just in case something were to happen to my current one... though it is well made and the integrity of the product is just top notch. I HIGHLY recommend this product. I looked online and cannot find another one. Guess this will go in the carry-on no matter how bulky!!!

It works great for floating or great for exercises Would recommend this to everyone I know that isn't a good swimmer..Also great for kids it's foam so it's very lite.
