Christopher's Original Formulas Lower Bowel Extract, Herbal Support with Cascara Sagrada, Barberry & Ginger, 2 oz Liquid

I prefer the herbal tincture to the herb capsules. Using several formulas at once, for up to 3x/day is just too many capsules for me to swallow, and they seem to stick in my esophagus somewhere on the way down. Even after I drink a quart of water. So I now use the liquid and just mix all the liquid formulas into a little juice, and voila! Much easier to drink them and they are just as effective medicinally. The lower bowel formula is so gentle, you can still get on with your daily routine without thinking "OMG I need a bathroom NOW!" I also like the herb combination. They are safe, natural, and effective and there is no fear of overdosing. You can take up to as much needed to get your bowels to move, and then reduce the amount until you maintain at least 3 movements per day. This formula is safe for long-term (as in years) use, but Dr. Christopher has always said "use the formulas for 6 days/week and rest on the 7th day". Following a cleansing program, the goal is to clean out the years of impacted fecal matter and rebuild the bowel structure sufficiently to have the peristaltic muscles work entirely on their own.

From being bedridden, writhing in pain from GI issues that no natural remedies, supplements, or prescription medications have been able to offer any kind of actual relief. Years and years of agony has been my existence, an existence with no hope. A recent stomach virus, which caused the excessive gas production I already suffered from to increase. My guts make so much that I can’t even pass gas, that my neck and jaw muscles feel as though they are constantly being pulled on, torn downward from the inside. To say it’s unpleasant is an understatement, I can’t even hold a conversation because I can’t focus on anything other that the extreme amount of pressure in my body. Every moment of the last decade has been absolute misery, more so during a recent stomach virus I couldn’t kick. I tried one dose of this last night and haven’t felt so little pressure in my body in I can’t even tell you how long. Thirty drops of this on an under my tongue, changed everything ! I was able to sleep without feeling like my ribs my blow out. Or awoken because my heart is repeatedly getting stabbed by gas. I regret not trying this years ago, I might have not lost these last however many years because of my guts. It’s spicy stuff, but not so hot that it was painful. I can’t believe that there is actually hope, that’s something I haven’t had in I decades. Also, I react to absolutely everything!! By some miracle I experienced zero adverse reactions from this 🥹

Great product

Christopher’s lower bowel product works for me ..it is gentle but effective. I am taking this by using the dropper and filling an empty gelatin capsule once or twice per day. In addition, I take Christopher’s lower bowel capsule 2 per day twice per day and also marshmallow root capsules 2 capsules twice per day. It took about a month for my body to finally adjust in order to get effective results. I will continue on this regimen until such a time that I feel my body can do this on its own.

I'll start off by saying that it works. I bought this to use as part of Dr.Christopher's protocal for systemic yeast overgrowth and it works but I will give you this warning it has cayenne in it and you can really tell. I like spicy food and hot things but this stuff has a kick to it! Would still recommend it but if you can take capsules I would get them instead.

I’ve been using this stuff for the last 20 years. ( When needed) A naturopath recommended it to me and it has never failed to help me out! Same with everyone in my family. I take one squirt in a little glass of water not much, or you’ll have to taste more of it, but I use it with one small teaspoon of diatomaceous earth. ( Stirred with a fork, food grade diatomaceous earth) At two weeks I work up to two squirts. You will not have to worry about parasites after five weeks! This is only my experience and it has worked perfectly for me and my family.

Didnt work, sooo bad tasting and burned my throat, do not recommend. I then tried the pill version, they didnt work either

My naturopath is old school and recommended this to me and also took it himself (with me and in the past). We did it prior to a psyllium husk colon cleanse to prepare and ease into the process. He described the taste, upon taking it with me, as sweet and yummy. I was shocked - to me, it tasted really really bitter and in no way sweet. But I kept taking it as recommended and he even upped my dosage. Interestingly, after several months, it became sweet and not bitter at all. It seems that when you need it, it tastes gross, and as you heal, it begins to taste very pleasant! Ordering again months later for a maintenance dosage. It also makes pooping great. :)
