Hold well A little difficult to remove from the hair.

I have always used these clips, but under the scrunchie brand. This is an offbrand and not made as well. These clips are extremely extremely difficult to open and close. I seen no way of getting them to work easier. It was very disappointing the first time that I used them and it continued for all the other times.

This is a very good product, but not for me. The 2.8" size is EXTREMELY STRONG, inconveniently strong for me. I've had the same style in just under 2" size for at least 10 years and use them constantly. They are now at the end of their life - 2 have snapped, 1 hinge separated. I was very happy to find them again and thought the bigger size would work better for the gym. They do, but I'd prefer them to be easier to snap open and closed. I won't purchase this size again. The smaller size will have narrower strips of metal, so they won't be as difficult for me to use.

I have a thick head of hair that’s difficult to manage. These were actually what I needed to keep my hair away from my face. These metal hair clips are smooth and sturdy, unlike the ones I just got rid of as soon as I got these. And, these clips are not painted over; I dislike painted hair clips because the colour will eventually chip. If you like sturdy hair clips, these will be just the thing for you.

So I needed an upgrade from the Conair silver metal clips because I’ve been sporting a hairstyle that needed to stay in place. I was working for a general contractor and sometimes, stuff would bump my head and pull said clips. Well I no longer work with them but I still wear my hair in a style I’ve not seen, but my sides can get too thick for those small clips. These beasts not only hold it in place but they hold more hair than the others. I needed 4 of the other clips but only had 3 for the other side and nobody seems to sell strictly silver Conair brand clips anymore so that I could restock. They’re always painted black or in a colorful array of them. I’m 42. I didn’t want anything that would eventually have the paint chip off and I don’t do bright colors much anymore. I highly recommend, but I think 2 is still needed if you’re looking to clip back both sides. It’ll keep them in place throughout the day. I would recommend and buy again but unless I lose them over time, I think they’ll last a good while so you probably won’t need replacements.

My daughter has thick, slippery hair, and most clips won’t hold—but these are great! They don’t slip out and can hold a good section of hair. I can send her to school with them in, and they hardly move all day. I wish I had known about these sooner!
