Simpatico 31661SN Moen Shower Chateau Series Trim Kit with Brass Escutcheon Screws Tube and Handle, Satin Nickel

I bought this to replace my shower faucet during an update of my bathroom. I switched over to polished brass hardware and wanted everything to match. The bathroom was built back in 1992, and my plumber didn’t think I’d be able to find a polished brass replacement for the original, but there it was, and it worked! Easy to install, good price, quality workmanship, and very rich looking. A perfect replacement right down to the location of the screw attachments.

Looks great. Doesn't have a concave center so it works better than the store bought versions. I got one from the store and it wouldn't fit on my application. This one looks nice, great fitment, finish seems good so far but it is early still. Mom is happy, I am happy.

Very good product, I loved it

There are not many options if you are looking for a trim kit for a Moentrol shower valve. Moen offers one that costs $255. Home depot has one made of plastic that looks as cheap as it is. This is made of metal and was available with the a satin nickel finish we were looking for. The escutcheon was easy to install and the knob fit perfectly. It looks plain, but the quality and finish is very good for the price.

Wanted upgrade my existing Moen tarnished chrome from the last century - but - my choice, the ridiculously gorgeous Delta Lahara Champagne Bronze would have been $800 installed because of the valve change - so - Plan B - this kit along with a new rod and head for under $100. It was an easy install after I got the right part, but I do have two tips to share. ONE: The Venetian Bronze is much lighter than the picture, almost copper. This ORB is DARK, as described and matched my door knobs so I went with it. TWO: If you have a Legend (the deeper dish) you cannot use the Chateau without moving the valve. I tried, and as someone else noted, the water goes on and stays on until you remove the kit and pull the valve back out manually. Too bad. I like it a lot better. Happy Plumbing! I feel accomplished and now know way too much LOL

I usually have good success with Amazon returned or used goods in very good condition, but this was an exception. It was missing one screw to hold the escutcheon in place, so I used the old one from the item being replaced. No problem, except color mismatch, but then the decorative cap would not stay affixed to the new handle without glue. It would not snap in place like the old unit did. So I had to "make it work". This is the first time I ever got a defective used product from Amazon, but it happens. Otherwise, it is now installed and looks great.

All metal heavy duty. Flat on the back so you don’t need to cut your tile away to fit the plate. Comes with rubber gasket. Fits Moen brand with two screws in line with each other at the bottom of handle. Exactly what I wanted. Local stores were selling these as plastic. Superior product at better price on Amazon. They expedited shipping for me.

Strong metal plate and sleeve with two bolts. The plate has a nice quality gasket material to prevent leaks without applying caulk. H and C letters evenly stamped into the metal. The plastic knob fits the valve stem nicely. Includes a valve washer and two bolts, at different lengths, for various installations. Everything as expected. wish they sold matching equipment.

This installed nicely on our legacy Moen shower handle, with an update to the brushed nickel finish we wanted. About half the price of some other options, and much less again than Moen OEM ones that would have worked. Gasket protrudes just slightly from the metal, but then that is making sure you have a good seal around the outer seam with the wall. Handle is oddly eccentric but most people would never notice this detail, it looks nice. Not sure how easy it will be to keep the finish clean re: water spots, time will tell, but it's a nice solid piece made of metal.

This was a very cost effective way to update the trim I had on my moen tub/shower fixture. Although it isn't 'Moen" brand, the brushed nickel is a close match to the other "Moen" fixtures that I have. The "C" for the cold setting is stamped into the metal a little lighlty, but it is still noticeable.
