Works perfect in my old VW!
I recently installed this on a 1600 DP motor in a '71 VW Bus. I used an adapter from CB Performance to install this pressure sender and a VDO oil temp sender in the threaded hole where the stock idiot light sender fits. Both senders are hooked up to VDO gauges. So far this pressure sender is working perfect. Took the bus on a camping trip and the oil pressure readings were steady and right where they should be for an air cooled VW motor. I read that you should not use teflon tape to seal the threads as this sender needs to be grounded through the fitting so I used teflon paste instead. Sender works fine and there are no leaks. This sender was well worth the price to help me keep an eye on the motor and I wouldn't really want to use anything other than VDO on my VW.

Great product and a good price.
VDO makes great gages and senders. They work and last forever. Only issue is that they still have to use the regular (non-LED) white bulbs so you're stuck fiddling with a little plastic green or red sleeve over the white bulb when you do your install. Other than that--awesome.

I like this a lot. The thumb screw connectors are good and when it's installed it's a solid mount. I had to get an adapter for my block but knew that going in. Easy 2 connector hookup and now my boy's 83 Volvo 242 has a pressure gauge and working "idiot" light.

If you want both a gauge and idiot light, then this is the sender you need!
Here are the specs for this particular sensor, also known as part # 360-081-030-023C... To begin with this is a dual sensor, which is great for someone that wants to retain an "idiot" light and also add a physical gauge. You can wire in the idiot light to the WK terminal. This will turn the light on at 6 ± 2.0 PSI You can also connect a gauge to the G terminal which will provide a value between 0 & 80psi. The sensor operates from 10-184 ohms. I chose this sender for the reasons mentioned above. I have a restored 68 Firebird convertible that has no gauges, just idiot lights and wanted the ability to see my oil pressure, water temp, vacuum, etc. I am actually doing this using this sender for oil pressure via the Chariot Gauges Bluetooth app on my android phone. I can view real-time values but not ruin the vehicles originality with gauge mounted somewhere. This is the sender I needed!

It fit and worked on my for with a 302. You may need an adapter.

defective
The product is defective it will not register on the gage at all the idiot light side works but it causes the gage to peg. I checked the gage out it works fine the sender does nothing when i apply a meter on it with the engine off and with it running and i get nothing no movement of the meter.

After consulting with VDO, was able to obtain the right one for my gauge. Older Harley Davidson.

G is sensor. WK is warning light.
This is a great sender. G position is for sensor and the WK position is for a dummy light for low oil warning. I wasn’t aware of this but once I figured out each position I was able to wire correctly to my 0-80psi VDO gauge. I left the dummy position blank since my cluster already has a factory low oil warning light.

Made in Germany, quality must be good. Electrical connections do stick out a bit and that made it tight for my application. I tossed the thumb nuts and used regular brass nuts.
