Champion Barbell Solid Hex Dumbbells

Bought this years ago and it still standing up til today

The weight of this is just right for me. I'm currently 140 lbs. and can do 15 lifts for 2-3 reps with 1.5 minute intervals. I'm not saying that to brag by any means, just to give an example. If your around my weight, you should be fine with lifting this. If you get this and can't lift it, then I suggest lifting a 25-30 lb for a few days and work your way up. As a note of caution, this product does scratch wood flooring, so I recommend either setting this down on a batch towel or carpet flooring. Also, this dumbbell has some grip, but not enough to grip if your hands get sweaty. I suggest wearing a glove with grip on it (preferably with bumps on it or possibly biking gloves). I was pretty impressed with this buy. Typically weights cost $1/lb and on Amazon they are usually way way more. This 15lb set (yes set, it came with two 15lb dumbbells) came in at under $1/lb costing $28.32 for the set at the time of my purchase WITH prime shipping. Free 2 day shipping for 30lbs of weight under $30? Win.I suppose I'll get on to the dumbbells themselves. They're pretty standard. Hex which I prefer since I'm always chasing down my adjustable dumbbells. The grip is good. I saw complaints about poor finish and protruding metal pieces to get cut on - I didn't experience this. The quality is good enough that, if I felt like spending the money to switch from adjustable plate dumbbells to a full rack of these, I'd buy this brand.

Exactly as a dumbbell should be, no chipping, flaking, cracking or rust upon arrival. These kinds of weights don't hold up as well as rubber coated over a long period of time, but I have found that with smaller weight sizes they hold up just fine. They also don't do well stored outside in the elements, but if you are looking for a reasonably priced dumbbell that will last forever inside, I would highly recommend these.

I appreciate the hexagonal ends that keep the weights from sneaking away from me when I put them down. I also like the fact that I don't have to worry about vinyl or neoprene coating peeling on the handles and making the weights uncomfortable to use. My hands are a bit sensitive to the texture on the ergo grip, so I use gloves to protect them. These weights will never win any beauty contests, but they serve their purpose and they're durable, and that's all I ask. Good product, good price.

I got this product because the shipping was ridiculously cheap. The weights are not great quality but they work well enough. They really are a great deal, especially with $7 shipping. I would recommend them. Apparently someone was confused and thought that it came with two weights. I never had that problem, and I think it's still a great price for one weight.

pretty good dumbells. i live far away from city life. so i didnt want to drive an hour to town to get it at a store lol. so i order these instead. came fast. i thought it was gonna take awhile. but it came in 4 days ? but it's a plus for me [: grips are kinda neat. i got small hands. so my hands kinda cramp up after a few sets. but it doesnt matter really. soo if you're lazy and live far away from the city life. this is for you. but if you live near a fitness store. go buy it at the store .

These are normal dumbbells... there's really not much to say. Shipped quickly in good packaging, good for daily exercises, you could probably break all the bones in your foot by dropping it carelessly... the only thing of slight note is that the grip is, as in the picture, is the same material and texture of the rest of the weight. That said, it does chafe the palms a bit after the first half hours or so of workouts. But that's pretty unavoidable no matter what dumbbell you use and your hands get used to it over time (the skin gets thicker and less delicate?) so that's not bad.Wish I could be more helpful... but these are just plain dumbbells. Not much to say.
