Sennheiser MZS 421 Shock Mount for MD 421-II

The metal parts all worked... however I had a problem with my item, one elastic band came broken. it was troublesome to replace and make my item work.

The MD421 has a poorly designed clip as anyone who has ever used the mic knows. Amazing microphone, horrible clip. This problem extends to the shockmount. My microphone spontaneously fell off my mic boom one evening, about five months after buying the shockmount. The piece of plastic that holds the mount to the clip randomly gave way and shattered where the screw holds it in place. At this point I wish I had skipped the purchase, since the mic works well enough without a shockmount in my installation. Avoid.

Made for the Sennheiser 421, this is the ultimate shock mount. We use it for our radio broadcasts. I can tell you with complete certainty this works!!! You needn't look any further. We like it so well we bought two of them. Well made, fit so nicely on the mic, and fits easily onto the boom arm - or your mic stand. Like Sennheiser, thoughtfully made and well designed. A strong piece, too! I doubt it will ever break. It isn't cheaply made.

These are notorious for not holding the mics properly. They fall out on an angle; get ready to use duct tape.

This is a poorly designed product. The mount broke removing it from the mic before it was ever used once! Sennheiser needs to reconsider this ill-designed mount and come up with something better!

The shockmount works perfectly and corrects the only weakness of the MD 421 which is its cheap/easily broken plastic stock mike stand adapter. This provides actual vibration protection and connection at the same time. A little over priced like the mic itself but does its job perfectly.

Poor Design. The mount broke the first time I tried to use it.

two years and mic has not fallen off from weekly concert use. it does the job. It's a good product design.
