Great on Audio - This is me Letting you go...
Currently my heart is breaking after a deceptive relationship with a married man. I did not know he was married. (He told me he was divorced, along with many other crazy lies.) This book has filled a lot of the hole that was left in me after I realized I was stabbed in the heart with his betrayal and attempted to pull it out as fast and swiftly as I could. No one tells you that there is no way around the pain, and that you still bleed no matter how quickly you try to get over the dreams that never will be. We made so many plans, shared so many joyful moments. I have been doing my best to let go, let go, and let go again -- as shown in the book. So many times we have to let go in love, because it isn't as simple as dropping a physical object from your grasp. This book feels like it was written by someone who experienced the same kind of heartbreak I did. It feels like it was written for me, though I am sure it could apply to many different types of broken relationships that we must move on from. This book comforted me more than anyone, because no one really gets it like the author of this book does. It had me in tears one chapter, and laughing the next. Just like the love story I was living. After listening to this book, I feel lighter and more accepting of what the future can bring me. The voice in this book is very descriptive and almost feels like a poetic way of writing. I am interested to see if there are any more books by this author. I didn't want this to end. Thank you for such a healing book!

Exactly What You Need to Read
I read this book in a day. The words within it are exactly what you need to read and hear when you are experiencing a failed ANYTHING, not just a relationship. It's not coming from a friend or family member who may be biased or just wants you to "get over it, move on, etc.." This book offers a way for you to process your loss, by offering you perspective and an invitation to grieve without judgement. To finally grieve your loss, and to fully accept it, will allow you to heal. You will feel better. It will calm you, when you feel you're at your darkest point in a breakup. Go back and read it again, whenever you feel yourself slipping back into those emotions, like regret, remorse, anger, or self-pity. Time really is on your side, you just gotta keep moving forward each day, and forging new experiences to replace the old ones no longer serving you.

Book Review: This Is Me Letting You Go by Heidi Priebe
I picked up This Is Me Letting You Go during a very raw and painful season—my divorce. It came recommended to me as a helpful read, and I was open to anything that might offer some clarity or comfort. In many ways, this book is what it promises to be: a collection of self-empowerment essays encouraging readers to let go of what no longer serves them. That said, I personally only connected deeply with maybe two or three pieces. Those few chapters really did speak to my heart, and I’m thankful for that. But overall, much of the content just didn’t resonate with me. I could see how someone else—especially those who really lean into the self-empowerment genre—might find it meaningful and uplifting. For me, though, it felt like it missed the depth or redemptive arc I was hoping for. I don’t regret reading it, but I wouldn’t say it’s a book I’d return to or keep on my shelf. I’ll likely donate it to a thrift store in hopes that someone else walking a similar path might find comfort in its pages at a more affordable price. Is it worth your money? That depends. If you’re drawn to self-empowerment reads and have enjoyed similar collections before, it could be a good fit. But if you’re looking for something more rooted in healing, faith, or deeper transformation, it might fall short. Still, three stars for effort and for those couple of chapters that truly met me where I was.

Addicting
I seen this book on TikTok and I wanted to order it on Amazon, but couldn’t wait for it to get here fast enough through the mail so I downloaded it on my Kindle app. I finished it within a week and I could never put the book down as soon as I picked it up. This provided me closure after a very rough relationship of almost 3 years. The last chapter was more than enough, Thank you.

Chaque chapitre m'a bouleversé.
