Cost Accounting: A Managerial Emphasis

Book is in great condition. We are supporting our son and as well as another student. Purchasing a text book for $11.00 and some change is unbelievable.

I've rented textbooks and bought them through Amazon, and I've never been disappointed. They are my go-to shop for all my textbook needs, and rarely does the campus bookstores even come close. I also like the fact they have a large selection of textbooks available in the Kindle format. Accounting textbooks are usually big, expensive and heavy to lug around campus. The free Kindle app on my iPad has freed my shoulders from the heaviness of a backpack filled with textbooks. Thanks Amazon. You rock! As for the textbook itself, it was packaged well, it arrived on time, the condition was as promised, and it was cheaper than at my campus bookstore. Enough said.

It was the correct book I needed! Lightly used

The book itself is fine. My issue is with the publisher's device limit policy. Apparently if you buy it on Kindle, you can only read it on two devices at a time. Meaning I am unable to read this device on my tablet, my home PC and my work PC. For obvious reasons this is RIDICULOUSLY INCONVENIENT. I can't use my tablet at work, even in my unassigned time. So Kindle for PC is the only way to read my e-textbook. But since I've already used Kindle for PC on my home computer, and I use the Kindle app on my tablet, I cannot read this book on my PC at work. A two device limit is absurd, especially given how common it is for today's consumer to own and use multiple devices. Thanks to the publisher for making the pursuit of higher education just a little harder for a nontraditional student. You guys are real educational heroes.

Amazon accommodated me when I found that the Costing Accounting book I purchased from Hadson Books was missing pages and had several pages from other chapters that were already in the book. I had to receive a new book soon because I needed to study for a test within 6-days. Amazon Customer Service refunded the previous book and placed the new book in my cart for me to purchase and shipped it to me within 2-days. The Customer Service member stayed on the phone with me until the entire process was completed and provided a return shipping label for me to return the other purchased book. The new book was in good condition and arrive in a timely matter for me to study for my exam. Thank you for making this happen for me.

Just to explain, I rented the textbook from Amazon, so my experience is colored by that fact. When I received the rental, I noticed that the index had almost completely separated from the binding. Other than that, the book looks brand new. I haven't seen any writing or highlighting anywhere. I emailed Amazon about the tear and they were extremely helpful and polite, as usual. The book itself (so far I have only read four chapters) is well written and easier than my other accounting textbooks to read (though that could be because the subject matter is easier to explain). It's not a big book and I don't feel like it is far superior to other cost accounting textbooks so I feel the cost isn't necessarily justified.

The book arrived in good condition, great price, and a good cross-reference source for a McGraw book that we used for the course.

Time of delivery is good, but the book WAS NOT kept in good condition. Maybe because it was not North American edition, the quality of paper and printing are also inferior though the contents are exactly the SAME as the North American edition. Moreover, although I have paid for the shipment, since it was brought from India, I was charged another CDN $18.00. Please check the region of edition prior to your purchase.
